No there was no real doubt. Any doubt offered was manufactured by some doubting fans. I've read so much nonsense. Such as we can't win a game 7. Can't win without Grossmann. They have no grit. Calling players a waste of a uniform. Blah, blah, blah!
What all Season has this team done all season to doubt them? To lack giving them support and believing in them? Nothing! Believing any thing else about this team is weak. I said it before and I'll say it again. Thank goodness this team isn't as weak mentally. - MJL
Third period in game 5 told me all I needed to know. That was this team just had to finish opportunities. It made Fleury look like a goalie again that they didn't. |

Don't just love that nothing stops these guys. You spot on. This could be one of my favorite teams ever. |

after they went up 3-0, i think a reasonable fan would believe they would win the series. |

when I saw the replica goal of that giff on Fleury that Plind posted on another thread I knew they were gonna win this game in convincing fashion. Fleury was awful today, and our guy was great. |

Team d was awesome today and cleared the way for Bryz to see the puck pretty much every time. Amazing to see guys like Guftsy and Lilja more then hold their own against some of the best in the world. At the beginning of the year, they were like 7th and 9th defensemen in the organization. Great job, guys. |

The Flyers proved that they are not just a team with high powered offense and suspect D. That was a hell of a defensive effort.
I do hope JVR starts to get going. |

That's another thing I heard. How are we going to beat a hot Goalie. Which I responded get some pressure and a goal early and see what happens to that hot Goalie. The the Gustafsson goal happens. Now for all the times Bryz has been called on a weak goal. That is a weak goal. But you get those breaks when your playing like the Flyers did today. Being the better and stronger team on the puck. Winning the one on one battles. And getting the puck to the net. And your Goalie looks great because they can't get the puck to your net. And that's the same reason why if there was a game 7, the Flyers would have had a great chance to win it. |

The best defensive game no doubt about it. The Flyers were outstanding on both sides of the ice. |

this and what the guy above you said.
Think it was mentioned earlier, better defensive effort will translate into better goaltending. |

We talked about if for a few days. Get pucks deep and control the game. The Flyers did that today and played outstanding defensively. |

Now Bryz can get some days to get healthy. I still think there's no doubt he's playing through something. I imagine it's pretty tough for a goalie to do it, considering split seconds of being physically able to react means goals versus saves. |

Yes, and no bad turnover trying to make fancy plays or stick handling through traffic. The Flyers consistently go the puck deep. Got in on the forecheck,. And forced the Pens to go 200 feet all game.

The Flyers played a hell of a game today. With some time off hopefully we can get back Grossmann and Meszy for game 1 of round 2. |

Big win, boys. I hate the Flyers' guts but they played a hell of a series. I'm thinking some big changes are in store for my Pens this offseason. Good luck next round. Peace. I'm gonna go cry into my Lemieux jersey now...... |

That's another one. The ridiculous over blown criticism of good players.
