I didn't notice a lot of Simmonds this game but when I did, he was his usual self. I wouldn't suggest the ice time down due to his lack of play. I think it was to keep him from getting in trouble. Simmonds is engaged in the rivalry.

If the Pens were ever really in control, I think we would have saw more of Simmonds. The Pens were out of it early. I think they had one or two really strong shifts after our first goal but after that first period, it was just over for them.

Penguins might just be a bad match up for him. i thought he was good overall for the series.

Played 22 minutes today, I find it hard to believe he comes out of the lineup even if Meszy and Grossmann come back. He competes hard along the boards and his skating is an asset.

Still want Grossmann with Coburn again. I'm not ready to give up on that pair. But Carle and Timmonen might be too much of a certain style.

Agreed, got keep getting guys healthy, good chance others will go down during the playoffs. Although I think Lava will keep Grossmann with Coburn and Kimmo with Carle.

Just based on this series, I think Holmgren has to get GM of the year. Guy got lambasted by the national media for those trades and the Bryzgalov signing. Looks pretty smart now if you ask me.
