Don't like that MAB has another concussion, the second in a few months and if I if remember correctly didn't he have at least one last year. He has a good future, but the concussions could become an issue. |

12-23 in a series are video game numbers. Flyers cannot be that reliant going forward on the PP. They will have to generate more offense at even strength. - PLindbergh31
So...um what happened??? This was a good but not great pp during the regular season. There was lots of standing around on occasion. There was the phase when Roo passed to Hartnell for the one-timers from the hash marks. Teams figured that out. Now its ridiculous. Sometimes, when Simmer/Hartnell get the puck down low they feed it back out to Voracek which made spaghetti out of the Pens box. I don't remember this happening during the regular season, and all this puck movement in general. |

Grossmann comes back for the next series, Kubina isn't playing. It's pretty simple to comprehend. - PLindbergh31
Here's what's simple to comprehend. Your post I replied to said that even with Grossmann and Meszaros back, Gustafsson will stay in the lineup. I replied that is not a given. I never stated whether Kubina is or isn't going to play.

The puck movement was fantastic. MAF really played poorly, Flyers had a ton of good chances, going forward regardless of who the opponent is, I wouldn't expect the opposition goaltender to be as bad as the wilted Flower was.
Fleury in the interview I saw after the game didn't take any accountability. Outside of game 5, he was absolutely awful. |

during the regular season, the Pens outclassed the Flyers in every special teams category iirc however when the two teams went head to head, the Flyers out scored the Pens on the PP 6-3. I believe the last two Penguins ppgoals came in the final two games. |

Hartnell didn't get a lot of goals this series, but he was still a huge force out there. Talk about someone who completely change from the beginning of the year. I admit I was one of the people questioning him and calling for a possible trade early in the season. I state this proudly, "Mr. Hartnell down, I apologize and was very wrong, glad you are part of the team." |

Yep. And even in game 5 he was as much lucky as good. The media was fawning all over him. He was all sizzle and no steak this series. Goal 3 today from guss was atrocious and a back breaker. |

The fourth wasn't much better and it killed any momentum they had just gained. |

I think Gus' shot went off a Penguin stick. Looked like it changed direction. |

He gave up a fair amount of soft goals in the series. |

A couple of days ago I think I read somewhere Orpik called the Flyers pp the best he had ever seen. - PT21
I'd love him if he weren't a Penguin. |

If you throw out game 4, where the entire team layed an egg, Bryzgalov, had a .920 save % in the series. Which is plenty good enough to win. Considering the firepower of the opponent he played ok. Would like to see him build on today. Hopefully the game today gives him an extra confidence boost, and the rest helps him as well. |
