I love the national talking heads (some of whom were pontificating down in the commissary before the game) who kept saying before the game that the Pens "need to shoot from everywhere today."
Afterwards, when Pens pretty much tried to do just that and the result was 40 blocked shots, about 4-5 Flyers odd-man rushes and a 5-1 Pittsburgh elimination loss the same folks said, "The Pens really needed to play more grind-it-out and controlled like they did in Game 5."

Best player in the League right now. - PLindbergh31
A dagger early in the first period. How many of those did we see this season? In a 5-1 win obviously the whole team played well, but they needed a leader today. And he stepped up huge by the looks of it. |

That really is an incredible stat. 40 blocks for the Flyers to the Pens 14. Says it all.

Does anyone know if there is a replay of the game ?? - griouxmvp2012
NBC Sports's website has the replay. They also had the live feeds tonight of the Flyers and Bruins/Caps games. That's how I watched. Replay should be there too.

I'm guessing knowing he has control over whatever they want to do to him plus his salary calms him down a bit. - ob18
True. But he's a competitor, and I'm sure it hurts that he isn't out there playing. I'm not saying he's rooting against Schneirder, but it's human nature for it to bother him that Schneider is playing lights out. |

this is the type of game we need to see more of from the Flyers. |

With any luck he asks for a trade to either team in FLA this summer. |

The hit on Crosby was bigger than the goal. No question about it. |

He gave up a fair amount of soft goals in the series. - PLindbergh31
Over the Penguins last 3 playoff seasons, Fleury has a save percentage of .875. His career playoff save percentage is a very ordinary .904 (Bryz's is currently .909).
Truth of the matter is that Fleury had has one great playoff, one good one and several very average to subpar ones.

Oh I know, I'm sure he does & they'll sit down after the season but then it still comes down to who wants what 9 years of his deal on their payroll & a team he'd want to be traded to. |

he's over hyped, wouldn't be shocked if they don't try too hard to resign him in a few years. |

Bigger than Crosby's love tap to Voracek's glove? |

Exactly right. Winning a cup this early in his career, coupled with his stellar regular seasons, and he's still a top tier goaltender, but no question he has struggled in the playoffs more often then not. |

I would say so. I have no idea why Crosby would stoop to such poor sportsmanship. The best players in the world should be above that type of bush league stuff. |

I would say TB or Toronto would be the most likely landing sports for Luongo. Not exactly going out on a limb there. |

Look what his coach said after the game, is it any wonder that they are crybaby bad sports. |

I saw Bylsma's post game, I don't think he said anything wrong. He gave the Flyers credit for being the better team. |

I lost any remaining shred of respect I had for them as a team during this series. |
