Apparently 5 of the 6 councilors needed have agreed to keep the team at least another year, waiting on a republican ex-football player who is holding out. Probably not enough revenue, but with all the sellouts they might feel it could become viable for another year. |

but hey, if they can get a % more people going to games and can make enough money to not have every other team in the NHL paying for them, that would be nice...
but i dont see that happening..

it has been owned by the nhl for two (frank)ing years now, move the team out already.
If they go deep in this playoffs atleast they'll be exciting when they move to Markham or QC, I personally hope it's going to be Markham

Markham/Mississauga/Bramladesh can't even support an OHL team and the Marlies go empty all the time. I'm sure they'll do pretty well, but I think people are thinking too hard with their Richards. It's QC or Seattle. |

Because most people don't give a (frank) about the Marlies, that area could definitely support another NHL team. For sure.
It's the largest hockey market in the world after all, do you know how many bandwagon fans alone will go see the games?
Most people dont give a (frank) about their OHL teams either, because of course the Leafs dominate the market.
