I tend to agree with you... Roy turned it up the last few weeks of the season and played really hard...
But Ruff has too go..... - BuffaloKyle
What channel were you watching?
He was garbage in the last weeks as well:
blind passes to...nobody
No hustle
No sense of urgency
Utter lack of common hockey sense
He had a few select shining moments. That is only because, by comparison to his play the rest of the year, he looked good.
And that's a thick sugar-coat.
He's a festering zit on the ass of this team-
Period.
It's time for Roy to play with another team. Let Cody be our #2 center and give Derek a change of scenery.
And reading the latest Nucks blog, seems they feel the same way about AV that we do about LR...switcheroo? - sambarugh
Believe me, the best way to get Hodgson performing next year is not by bringing over the douchebag that almost ruined his NHL career before it began. Cody seemed shocked at the trade, but I'd imagine one of the first things that ran through his mind when his head cleared was "well at least I don't have to talk to Vigneault anymore"

I've made my peace with Ruff and Regier staying here. Do I like it? No. However, listening to what type of guy Terry Pegula is, and how he does business, I never expected them to be fired, anyway. If it's the same next year and no movement in the front office, then I will start to get angry.

That was exactly what I thought. Who really would want to play for a coach who basically said the injury you had didn't exist and that you were being difficult about it. It just doesn't make sense.

what players did you you expected or overachieved for the sabres this year?
pommer-met
ennis 34 in 48; I can live with that. Room for growth.
foligno- pleasant surprise
tropp- no complaints; kid needs to grow & learn
the hoff- knew his d game was less than o upside. Was looking for more G's
sulzer-see foligno
leopold-no issues at all. Thought he earned every penny.
enroth-still not comfortable w/him having too many starts.
kaleta-no issues for an 850k contract. Drew penalties like seagulls to fries.
did I miss anyone?
aside from matt freakin ellis - homiedclown
I kinda figured that would be the case after I posted that, my bad. Yeah, Staal I'd back the truck up for.
(i'd like Stoll too, fwiw) - nfph
I miss Stoll. He's pretty much my ideal 3rd line center - big shot, great on the dot, big man, skates well, good hockey IQ, enough offensive flair to fill in on the 2nd line and 2 PP but defensively one of the best. I'm rooting for LA now, not because they bet Vancouver but because I really like a few of their players, Stoll chief among them.
lol he's been a cornerstone of many of my EA NHL franchises. As has Dustin Brown, another King I like.

Totally agree with all of this, but honestly the Kings beating Vancouver has a part to do with why I'm rooting for them.
