Folks on this site have become INSANELY sensitive lately.
The posts that are getting reported are pathetic. You can't even say "we beat you guys " without it getting reported.
I've actually started banning guys for reporting too much non-report worthy posts.
PS - I say this fully admitting that I haven't read your entire conversation with Burn.

Ok.... whatever. Right back at ya!!
I don;t see the issue. " No one knew of the issues until after the trade"... and yet you have several times admitted that the drinking and partying were known previous. That's what I said. |

It has to be one of the worst trades ever.
I have asked many times how come the Kessel trade is the gift that never stops giving... but Montreal just about got a free pass on the Gomez trade. - GoneFullRetard
Cause it's more fun to laugh at the leafs.

Oh cool. I think it's a little bonkers when people bash Lupul (esp oilers fans). He's very similar in production to Hemsky (different skillsets obviously).
It's a double edged sword: you could bash Lupul for being as injury prone as Hemmer, but you have to acknowledge he's as good an offensive player. - Morris
He had one bad year (EDM)... maybe this plays a part? |

I think most of the hate from Western Canada, and Vancouver in particular, is really about hating the city. I mean, let's face it, in Vancouver's case, they have always been 3rd, behind Toronto and Montreal.
The hate for the team outside of Western Canada either comes from A) Provincial or traditional rivalry or B) because the Leafs are just deserving of ridicule year after year and our fan base, for the most part, doesn't help. |

I honestly think that Vancouver fans, most of them, would have to admit that the Canucks were a bigger disappointment than the Leafs this year.
a better team, a better organization, a more promising future... but much more of a disappointment this year.

Absolutely.
That's why it's so funny that everyone wants to harp on the Leafs for going 567 years without a cup, yet Vancouver, St.Louis, Buffalo, LA all have won just as much of nothing as the leafs have since then...give or take a year or two due to the fact those teams didn't exist.

What is weird is I just realized, after how many years of posting here, that there is a report button. Is that bad that I didn't know this? |

their 1st year in nhl is Toronto's 1st year of drought. I find it hilarious when they talk of the drought. |

I guess falling short has its different definitions or interpretations.

Teams that aren't interested in Lu:Anaheim: Hiller.
Boston: Thomas+Rask
Buffalo: Miller+Enroth
Calgary: Kipper
Dallas: Lehtonen
L.A: Quick+Bernier
Minnesota: They have about 3 tenders right now.
Montreal: Price
Nashville: Rinne
Rangers: Lundqvist
Ottawa: Anderson+Bishop+the kid
Phoenix: Smith
Pittsburgh: MAF
St. Louis: Halak+Elliott (lol aka Hitchcock)
Washington: They tried the vet route and it failed, I think they let the kids develop this time.
Winnipeg: Pavelec
Team that will kick the tires but not really be interested:
Carolina: They should because Ward is over-rated imo, but they won't.
Chicago: Again, they should but history will prevent them from getting in on this. They will go the cheap route and take a chance on one of the young guys with elite potential.
Colorado: Varlamov had a decent year. They'll take a chance he can repeat.
Detroit: Another example of a team that should but won't. They've made invredibly average goaltenders look average for years, but what happens when Lidstrom isn't there?
Florida: They have patch work until the kid is ready, I don't think they make a real offer.
Islanders: Who knows, this organization is so clueless.
Philadelphia: Bryz needs to figure this out, but how bad will he be thrown under the bus once Philly gets taken out because of him?
Teams that will make serious offers:
Columbus: Is Vancouver willing to deal more assets to land Nash?
Edmonton: Only kid I'm willing to trade if I'm GM here is Paarjarvi and even that is questionable. Division rivals makes it tough though.
New Jersey: This is an interesting option. What would Vancouver want back? Would Lamoriello really tell Bordeur to retire?
San Jose: They have some star power on their team and if Wilson is still in place, he'll once again be looking to make a splash.
Tampa Bay: What do they really have to offer though?
Toronto: Same as Tampa. - kev1586
You didnt mention Vancouver! |
