Brodeur is not ready to retire. Will stay form $3,000,000. you heard it here first. Usless there is a lengthy lockout.
Will NJ let Marty leave the organization? |

How do you know Burke has a small package?
I don't think Tampa offers their first this year + Malone.
I said last night Malone + 2nd would be the most they would offer. It might be the most Vancouver gets. - GoneFullRetard
I disagree, I think Tampa offers Detroit's 1st to sweeten the pot. |

If we could get Kesler coming back the other way along with Luongo I'd be more open to getting into the Luongo sweeps:
Grabs
Mac
Kadri
2013 first
2012 2nd
Oh, and a salary dump, one of Komi, Lombo or Connolly
Not to say I think Kesler is on the block or anything, as he was injured n ear the end of the season, but I wonder how long it takes for VAN fans to turn on him.
What we could do afterwards is try use our 5th along with Reimer and see if there's anyway we could move up to 2nd in the draft by enticing CBJ, then select Forsberg - AngryWhiteMale
lol, riiiiight.....why not just save yourself the efforts on the improbable trade proposals? There is not a snowball's chance in hell Luongo would accept a trade to Toronto - frying pan? Meet fire. |

TB is at the end of the day the most appropriate fit. TB doesn't have anyone, and I mean anyone in a position to start in goal next year. |

With his mouth, he is obviously over compensating for something.
He is not a short man, so the other standard would be small package. |

I think Tampa makes the most sense, personally, but I had to chuckle at your mention of Ottawa. Yes, they were in the running for his services when he was dealt to Vancouver, but that was a completely different landscape than the present.
With Anderson as the incumbent, Luongo would be a downgrade in the short term, with a higher cap hit. Long term, you can't forget about Ben Bishop or Robin Lehner.
Why would you bring in Luongo for 6-7 years to a rebuilding team with young top-end goaltending talent in the system? |

It's hard to say. I don't think he can't handle it, per se. It may not be his first choice, but if it ends up being the only choice Gillis gives Luongo come draft day, he'll be forced to either take it or be the whipping boy for sticking around while people are still on the schnieder band-wagon |

Lehnar's the future in Ottawa, goaltending is for the first time not on Ottawa's trouble spots |

Well, if he gets dumped in the fire atleast it will be a quick death, and TO is known as a place where tenders go to die, planned or unplanned. |

I wouldn't exactly laugh at that. I've watched a lot of Ottawa this year. Despite Karlsson and Spezza's numbers he's been their MVP. He stole a lot of points for them |
|
|
|
As..for Kesler...i dont ..and cant see him going anywhere... sure he had a crappy regular season & bad 1st round exit...he rushed himself back too soon.......In KES#17 we trust! |

Oh the ignore button has come up several times in discussions, unfortunately it doesn't do the refs any good, still have to read the posts.
This is for ignoring a poster so you don't see their comments. Not on reported posts. - LeafMan
People need to stop being such babies, no one is forcing them to read a posters post, just skip it. |

Big deal. It's still laughable. Lou stole plenty of games for the Canucks this year. |

At the end of the day if Daniel and Kesler were healthy then they would probably have squeeked by LA. That said, the wingers leave a lot to be desired. Raymond was invisible and Burrows wasn't exactly tearing it up either. |

Yes but the difference between playing the season with Lu, or that alternative(Schneider) was maybe a spot or two in the standings, at most. They had the firepower to make the playoffs and get home ice.
With Ottawa, they just made the playoffs, so the number of points Andersson stole is amplified by the fact that they only cleared 9th place by a couple points. Ottawa couldn't have survived on just their offence, VAN could have easily |

Teams that will make serious offers:
Columbus: Is Vancouver willing to deal more assets to land Nash?
Edmonton: Only kid I'm willing to trade if I'm GM here is Paarjarvi and even that is questionable. Division rivals makes it tough though.
New Jersey: This is an interesting option. What would Vancouver want back? Would Lamoriello really tell Bordeur to retire?San Jose: They have some star power on their team and if Wilson is still in place, he'll once again be looking to make a splash.
Tampa Bay: What do they really have to offer though?
Toronto: Same as Tampa.
He might ask but Brodeur will not retire. He would like to play two more years. |
