Hey chuckles...
Go look up the definition of a fluke and then consider how it applies when comparing Gagner's mini-explosion vs. the rest of his career.
Then come back and chuckle, if you are bright enough to find your way back. - GoneFullRetard
He's been 40+ points without fail. Where is the fluke? |

I won't pursue. Gagner is better. Not really much of an issue for me.
Trade proposals on here are always stupid. That's why they're on here and not at the desk of a GM. - GuyLaDouche
.. the odd trade proposal is reasonable.
Hell, even some of the people proposing trades for their own teams are *sometimes* reasonable.
But yeah, it is pretty much a joke what most fan bases come up with most of the time.

what about the Oilers, Blue Jackets, Sharks, Flyers (if they could dump there goalie).

I think if the 'Nucks can get him off the books it is a good trade. I think the 'Nucks need help on the blue line, pretty much loaded up front. I hope he stays in the West so he can choke again come playoff time.

Who's that?
And who mentioned Kesler. - Mattjd123
I did, since you implied Franzen's contract was as stupid as Luango's. Except when you compare it to forwards putting up similar numbers (who haven't won anything) like your boy Greg Louganis it looks pretty good. |

Thought I heard somewhere that Lu would only accept a trade to Tampa or Florida anyways. |

... Not to mention a hugely flukely period of a couple games...
What part of "Flukey period of a couple games" is so difficult for you to understand.
I was crystal f*cking clear about Gagner's little outburst this season being a fluke.
Are you suggesting a period where he got like 11 or 12 points in 2 games to somehow "not" be a fluke?
... take away the fluke, and the stats between him and Bozak aren't close this past season.
Anyway, I am not high on Bozak or anything. I was only trying to support my original assertion that started this... ALL fans overvalue their own players and prospects, not just Leafs fans. |

An exagrration perhaps, but a lot of truth. Leafs fans have a habit of overrating a player and then viciously turning on him when he doesn't meet them. Lupul had a great year, but not trading him for a genuine #1 when that weakness is what deep sixed your playoff chances is not thinking clearly. - GuyLaDouche
Yeah, great idea. Lets trade the only guy who had solid chemistry with Kessel. Smart. |

... yeah I think that was the "missing" part of his statement yesterday. I highly doubt he just waives his NTC to go where they want to send him.
I mean come on, would he waive for Columbus? or how about for a 26th place team with a media market even worse than Vancouver...
I highly doubt it. I would say it has to be a Florida team, or maybe Washington?

Fleury + Martin for Luongo - brianb0422
Pass ... Fleury > Luongo in the playoffs even with the sh*tty series versus Philly. Last I checked, Fleury has a Cup. Luongo - not so much.

That's the least of the worries..... the fact that it's an overpayment is the problem. |

Is there a more hot and cold goalie than Fleury? He can look like the best in world one night, and then below-ahl-calibre the next night.
If everything else was equal, ages contracts etc. I think I would take Luongo... and I HATE the Canucks

i dont get why anyone thinks the leafs will be fleecing anyone in any trade when everyone knows b.b has never been more desperate to make big moves ever if anything it will be the leafs getting fleeced all summer |

Exactly - I don't want a goalie who is locked up for the next 10 years at his cap hit. No thanks. At least not at the price that delusional Vancouver fans are asking. Lest we forget how much Cody Hodgson was apparently worth. I shudder to think what they believe Luongo is worth.

Well, the Leafs have such a great track record fleecing other teams. I don't think Boston will ever recover from the Kessel and Rask/Raycroft deals alone... |

Would you take that contract if you were given a high chance of making the playoffs in the next 3-4?
I think a lot of GM's with teams like Toronto would. |
