Err, is there such thing as an unintentional conspiracy? Isn't that just called 'coincidence'?
- BulliesPhan87

absolutely, it goes beyond the limits of mere human control. it's a conspiracy rooted in the very essence of the world. you have to be more open-minded, expand the boundaries of your paranoia

So what, like a collective consciousness new world order shadow government? That's double plus ungood, imo.

Now I really want Ottawa to win.

Did the League guarantee that Washington would win last night?

- MJL

Yep. Kerry Fraser said that the Ward goal shouldn't have counted, Knuble interfered with Thomas.

Kerry is right. So it's obvious that the NHL wanted the Caps to win.

Last night’s Game 7 was watched by 1.32 million viewers on NBC Sports Network, making it most-watched first round game on cable in 12 years.

James Mirtle ‏ @mirtle Reply Retweet Favorite · Open
NBC is averaging 2.6 million viewers, up 39 percent compared to last year (1.9 million). That's "the best two-weekend delivery in 14 years."

Nice to see the ratings doing pretty well.

Seems he was recalled at the same time Leighton was, Panaccio tweeted on Friday that Bartulis had cleared recall waivers.

Players just took to the ice. Grossmann dressed for full contact today, wearing the black jersey with the rest of the starting defensemen.

I think you can make a case either way. There was certainly contact, but I didn't think the contact impeded Thomas' ability to make a save or play his position. That's hard for me to say watching on TV, but that's what I thought. However, it seems pretty clear that the letter of the law, if not the spirit of it was violated, and a penalty could have been called.

I have to believe the refs felt pretty bad about the brutal call on Chimera at the end of regulation, when they called him for holding when all he really did was stand behind the Bruin's d-man when he fell down/flopped. I thought that call was especially bad considering what had previously been let go during that period. It seemed pretty clear that the refs had gone into "let 'em play" mode and were not calling anything. And then to turn around and call that, with only 2 minutes left, was pretty bad.

I know they may not consciously have been thinking they "owed" the Caps, but you have to wonder if they hadn't called that ticky-tac penalty on Chimera, would they have been a little more confident in making the interference call on Knuble?

I don't think that it was necessarily a bad call, either. Could have gone either way.

If that is accurate I dislike Crosby more than ever.
Petulant little kid. I am sure he was fine when he scored a hat trick.
