I feel like a heroin addict with the shakes. I need my Flyers hockey!!
- Deasr1

and last night was like a cheap methadone hit, watching 2 teams I hate bumbling around on tired legs waiting to see who would lose.

Happy that Troll Tim Thomas is gone though. No tears did I shed watching black-eyed Chara in the handshake line. Buuubye.

still can't believe Washington won last night! they have been playing great defensively and they deserved to win that series. Can't wait for the next round to start -- probably saturday (hopefully at night, but doubtful).

It's very encouraging seeing our injured defensemen skating again. Defense wins. and the layoff is great for us, Bryz can heal, Kimmo can rest, JVR can find his legs and of course our two d-men can work back to playing shape.

Can't wait for Saturday!! I honestly hope we open on the road, but I'll take whatever, just glad we'll have someone to play!!

And it begins...

According to TSN's James Duthie, sources say that Roberto Luongo will submit a list of teams to the Vancouver Canuncks that he would be willing to accept a trade to. The Toronto Maple Leafs will reportedly be on that list and the move would make sense, but that doesn't guarantee that it will get done. The Leafs desperately need help between the pipes, they can afford his huge contract and they have personnel on the management end that know him in the form of former Canucks GM Dave Nonis and goaltending coach Francois Allaire. Luongo's possible exodus from Vancouver will be interesting story this off-season and something could get done as soon as the NHL draft.

CLB as part of a deal for Nash makes as much sense as any place to me, though I wonder if yzerman will stick w/ the DET model and refuse to pay big $$ to a goalie.

I wanted no part of Boston. Dealing with Lucic sucker punching guys and Marchand embellishing and diving every chance he gets to draw penalties. No thank you.

Is it just me or does Marchand nose starts in his forehead and that he needs his visor to stick out farther then most players to cover that thing up?

Great news on Boston being beat. Like Bill said, everyone left is dangerous, but anyone we play in the second round is less dangerous then Boston or NYR IMO. Hopefully Ottawa pulls out the win tonight. Go Flyers.

Kypreos said this morning that Luongo has asked to be traded, not just submitted a list.

Not surprising. You can tell when a guy waives his no trade 2 days after elimination that he wants out.

He is in a bad spot in Van. Unless he wins a Cup he will always be the guy to blame. He allowed 8 goals in 7 Stanley Cup final games and still takes the blame for not winning the cup.

You can word the stats however you want. He crumbled in game 7. If I was a Nucks fan I wouldn't forget that. Do we forget about how Leighton played?

I heard that!

8 goals in 7 games! The offense needs to score a couple of goals. The Goalie can not win without offensive support.

It's the curse of Peggy!! first kane now thomas!

Sooo happy to see the B's out. I go to school in Boston and I'm only up here for another week for graduation. As awesome as it would have been to try and go to a game if they played the flyers I'd much rather have this city dead quiet. Now 90% of bruins "fans" can go back to not caring about hockey.

As much as I would have liked to see the Flyers beat them, I am happy the Bruins are out of it, especially after Ward's goal provoked waves of racist comments from B's fans on twitter.
- Jsaquella

Not sure how that makes sense for Columbus.
