I heard that!
8 goals in 7 games! The offense needs to score a couple of goals. The Goalie can not win without offensive support. - ggunky
He gave up 20 goals in the Final vs Boston. Had two shutouts, but also allowed 8 goals in game 3. |

The news on both Meszaros and Grossmann is encouraging. Also very important in this week of rest and recuperation is the healing of Bryzgalov's hoof-and any other injury the goalie may have.
It's also incredibly hard not to be inspired and impressed with Kimmo Timonen and just how much of a warrior he is.
In terms of matchups, I continue to simply not care who they face. I'm not going sit here and hope that they magically avoid somebody, even though I know that Florida or New Jersey are a better matchup on paper than the Rangers. I fully subscribe to the "Be Careful What Ya Wish for "....look at 2010. I'm sure that Pittsburgh was happy seeing the Canadiens beat the Capitals in round one.
They were not happy to see the Habs send them home in round two. The matchups are important, but unless teams perform on the ice, all the paper analysis in the world doesn't matter. Two weeks ago, the hockey world was certain that Pittsburgh and Vancouver would be headed to round two and on a collision course in the Final.
How'd that work out. Sure on paper, Flyers vs Ottawa is better than Flyers vs Boston. But what if Anderson plays out of his mind? - Jsaquella
Many want the easy path to the final but I personally want the most exciting. I want to be entertained as we move forward. In my mind the team to beat of the remaining are the Philadelphia Flyers. Would I like the avoid teams like the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers? of course. Do I care who we face? Of course not. I have a full vote of confidence in this team.
With this said, which Scenario does everyone want the most? |

According to TSN's James Duthie, sources say that Roberto Luongo will submit a list of teams to the Vancouver Canuncks that he would be willing to accept a trade to. - stveshdy
I think his cap hit is 5M+, but what's the cash outlay per year? |

Kypreos said this morning that Luongo has asked to be traded, not just submitted a list. - Jsaquella
I would be willing to bet that Vancouver has no interest in trading him to an Western Conference team, So the most likely canidates are Toronto, New Jersey, Washington, and Tampa... with an outside at a return to Florida.
As a Flyers fan which team do you want to see him go to least? To me it's Washington. I think they are 1 great goalie from being a great team again. Not to mention that if re-alignment ever does happen, we will likely be matched with Washington in one way or another. New Jersey would be real bad news too, though not as much because I dont think they are a good team missing a goalie, I think they are just an average team and with what they might have to give up to get him, could make them worse... |

#SNPlayoffs #Canucks Luongo asks for trade. Van didn't even need to ask him to waive NTC. He tells them himself in exit meeting he wants out |

Washington has two good young goalies, no reason to trade for a guy with 8 years left on his deal. I'd be most worried if he goes to the Devils. |

CLB would need to get more, no doubt, but they've needed a goalie forever like another team we like... |

I don't even care who they play, just want them to win. I'm not going to be sitting at the parade and saying, "Well, they only had to beat Wasington and Florida to get out of the East" |

$6.7 the next six years, then a drop to $3.3, then $1.6, then the final two years at $1 million. |

They should want to trade him in the West. That way they could win a series.

like you said, I'm glad that we don't face the prospect of having to get thru BOS and NYR to play for the cup. |

There will be a lot to choose from in terms of acquiring a goaltender. Why lock yourself into that contract with a 33-year-old? |

Pretty bad, $6,714,000 every season until 2018-19, drops to ~$3.3m after that.

I think you may be forgetting the biggest issue. Why the hell would Luongo want to go to Columbus when it's common knowledge they're trying to trade the only great player they have in Nash? Lou to the Leafs makes the most sense to me. Tampa needs him the most but I ultimately don't think they're going to pony up. |

I have dreamed about that day all my life... I actually wrote a 5 page paper in college describing that day in precise detail. The prompt was short of curing cancer, or world hunger, or anything on that level if you had one wish what would it be. My wish was for the flyers to win the cup and to experience a parade rivaling the ones in the 70s
Actually got an A for it too. |

They do have to young average goalies. Holtby is definately having a great playoffs, but neither of them put together is Loungo. You include Nueverth in the trade with a couple of picks.... And then Washington becomes one of the most dangerous teams again.
I would say New Jersey would be 3rd on my list of teams I dont want him to go to... I would also hate to see what he could do in Tampa. That offense with Loungo shutting the door...scary. |

Im sure he would love the pressure in Ohio.. all he has to do is make the playoffs and they will treat him like a god. |
