I don't see a ton of interest around the League looking at Bobrovsky as a starter. But as a young backup with potential, as part of a bigger deal. I think he'd have some value. But depending on the CBA and what happens with things like the bonus cushion, he may have more value to the Flyers keeping him. - MJL
No disagreements there.. I think he's far more valuable to the Flyers now than what any team would be willing to give up for him. |

What's the word on Kubina, still hurting? He wasn't listed in the blog as taking maintenance days, but it certainly seems like he should after his severely reduced playing time last round...right? |

...and Bob won how many game 7's against the defending Stanley Cup champs? - Jsaquella
Leighton won a game 7. Maybe we should resign him. |

if luongo really requested a trade, i'd be pretty disappointed if i were mike gillis. schneider's value in a trade >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> luongo. he could have fetched a bushel of assets in return. |

The Flyers did resign him after winning that game 7. |

Not as far as I'm concerned. If the Flyers get to the Conference Final and lose it and fail to advance to the Cup Finals. As a Fan I won't be looking back at the Pens series and say whoopee, we beat the Pens. I'll be happy with the team for the Season, but I'll be disapointed they lost the Series. - MJL
Agreed. I don't give a poop what the road is to the Cup.. we could have to beat the trail smoke eaters team from the 40's for all I care. Just want that SC parade on Broadstreet. |

We did, and I hope he gets an extension on an AHL contract. |

Schneider has been more solid for them tho, and they're built to win now. Keeping Cory for cheaper and getting a return and some cap room for Lou is the best thing for the team. If they only get a decent D man for Lou it's a great move for them. |

Good goalies don't come on the market very often unless they are UFA. Varlamov is young, but completely unproven and still got a stellar return even though there were rumors we wants to go back to Russia.
If an unproven goalie, with a chance to jump ship at his first chance can get a stellar return, image what you can get from a proven goalie in his prime? - RooNosHockey
What did Tomas Vokoun get the Panthers? They put him on the market at the TDL in 2011. How about Tim Thomas? The Bruins tried to trade him before last season, as it seemed that Rask had taken the job over. What did Tampa Bay trade for Roloson?
I'd be stunned if the Canucks got a major return for Luongo, because of the perception that he's not a money goalie, his age and the terms of his contract. Toss in the NMC, which would eliminate some teams that could really use him, and the money situation in places like Tampa and NJ, and factor in the possibility of Thomas being on the market and that all hurts Luongo's value. |

I wonder with Luongo and Thomas possibly on the market, how that will effect what the Flyers could possibly get in return for Bob. If they are even entertaining the possibility of dealing Bob.
Possibly? - MBFlyerfan
Bob's price was already diminished by his play this year, on top of Back-ups like Bernier, Lindback, and Enroth being available. At this point, it's best to just hold onto him and see what happens after next season. The best time to trade him would have been at the Draft last year. You might have gotten the same package for Bob from Colorado that Varlamov got Washington. They had similir numbers from what I remember... |

They did, remember?
Holtby's a 23 year old rookie. Leighton was a 29 year old journeyman who was claimed on recall waivers.
Also, the Bruins weren't the defending champions when Leighton bet them. |

No, that was the first round. If the Flyers lose to the Caps or whoever, I'm not going to care that they beat the Pens. I want a Stanley Cup, not just to be able to gloat at Pens' fans - Jsaquella

It was like something out of a Spike Lee movie. Mostly idiot kids, who mostly used their real names on the account. - Jsaquella
Dopes. Emulating Thomas perhaps? (a little unfair, perhaps, but not wholly undeserved.)
Ward made a great read on the play - looping around to the same side of the net as Knuble - and got rewarded. Good for him. |

Lindback was awful this year, and I doubt that the Sabres move Enroth right now...and after signing Bryzgalov, if they could have got what Colorado paid for Varlamov, Bob would have been out the door faster than you can say Jack Robinson. |

i respectfully disagree. the difference between luongo and schneider is minimal compared to the difference in trade value. i'd keep lou. |

I don't even care who they play, just want them to win. I'm not going to be sitting at the parade and saying, "Well, they only had to beat Wasington and Florida to get out of the East" - Jsaquella
I understand what you're saying but everyone has a preference. I think the Panthers and Devils are 2 boring teams, which in return would make a boring series. I'm just asking who you guys would like to face. It's funny though because the more exciting teams to watch are out. Pens, Wings, Sharks, Bruins, Canucks, all gone. |

I dont see why Washington isn't ont that list. Remember, Loungo has to want to play there, and Vancouver will want to trade them there. I cant see Vancouver trading Loungo to Chicago or San Jose... And I cant see Loungo really wanting to go back to the Panthers. If he did enjoy his time in Florida, why not go to the better team, the lightning.
I do think Loungo would fit best in Washington.... The big city, without the killer media like Canadien cities, NY or Philly.
One thing is for sure... Ek is going to get his money's worth this off-season with Loungo and Nash. Bet you season ticket prices are about to go up... - RooNosHockey
1. Holtby
2. Neuvirth

They beat the Pens in round one, how is that like a conference final win?
If they beat Washington and then say Florida, those series will matter a lot more ethan Pittsburgh |
