they are, which is what i was concerned about today. long layoff, you knew they would be terrible, and i knew the fans would get on them immediately. it doesn't help.

Flyers weren't quite ready mentally and it appears physically as well at the end of the 1st. Flyers are also clearly frustrated with all of the defensive play of the devils.

I expected the Flyers to be a little rusty after a 7 day layoff but dear God, we're lucky it's not 4-0. Horrible first period and they deserved to be booed off the ice.

They haven't played in a week, was to be expected, let's hope they got the blood flowing now.

Hopefully the WD-40 kicks in around the halfway point. Jersey is playing smother-style. Get a few crisp, accurate passes and speed back and that can be shaken. More hitting from the Flyers would be nice as well.

he did, and the dman behind brodeur stopped the rebound. they couldn't handle the puck to save their lives. devils were active in their skating and with their sticks. the flyers are very lucky to be only down 1.

Bad period, but not as bad as the 1st period in game 1 of the Pens series. Once they get their game together, things will get going again.

I know it can work, but (frank) do the Devils play boring.

I don't know what your talking about. The Devils play the same style of Hockey the Flyers do. This is not a Jacques Lemaire coached Devils team. There's nothing boring about how they play.

Great period by Bryzgalov. He's ready to play. If he plays like this all Series. I like our chances.

If it's only 1-0, we're in great shape. That Read play was brutal but that's only one bad play. I'm not even expecting them to come out of the intermission and suddenly have it together. I'll guess once the 10 minute mark kicks in the second, we should have something going
