I'm constantly amazed by the level of effort people go to in order to troll a team and their fans. Phoenix fans are showing that they do care about the team, and if they can ever get an owner who cares half as much hockey will be successful in the desert.
Great win and atmosphere in Phoenix. The Coyotes are playing like they want it a hell of a lot more than the Preds. I've never seen so many bone-headed mistakes during one game in my life than I saw during that embarrassing effort by the Preds. Not only did they suck, but they vented their frustrations by breaking sticks, and punching Phoenix players for no reason other than the fact that they were doing their job better than Nashville was.
That effort wouldn't have even been tolerable during the regular season. It's inexcusable for the playoffs. Trotz is being outcoached in the playoffs... again.
Congratulations to to Coyotes and their fans. If the Preds don't have some sort of rectal/cranial extraction intervention then this series is over and the Coyotes will have absolutely deserved it.
Best teams in the playoffs right now are the Coyotes, Kings and Flyers. - Predaceous

Oh +1
And my god did our defense stink up the place. Now we see why Tippet has the Coaching edge in this series. Preds were playing to Friday's game (with additional brain farts a la Legwand) and Tippet said screw that, his boys responded and ours....not so much.
Unless we can get our defenders jock straps back from hanzel and Doan, it'll be LA and Phoenix in the finals. |

All of Canada should be rooting for PHX. Because they represent the only chance the CUP will find its way back to Canada if/when PHX relocates back to Canada. - dgutzman

I'm in with the Yotes and Kings for the conference final. I'm sick to death of hearing this division sucks. Don't care who comes up to the top just so long as they beat the East and shut the hockey snobs up.
On a second note. Has anyone else noticed that all the award nominees are either from a canadian team or the NHL's favorite confernce the east. Why was Eberle given the nod for Lady Byng when there were so many other quality players that are on Playoff teams and been in the league longer. If any of the post season awards go for reputation this is the one. So Why does a second year player get the nod. Just saying Kopitar had 70 points and rarely takes penalties, his first fight ever was Burrows jumping him in the playoffs, but Eberle gets that nod. Or if Kopi doesn't do it why not the Wiz whitney had one hell of a season and has the respect of every player in the league. Eberle is just to young for that honor.
Just sick of the west getting no respect whatsoever and it has the most consistent brand of hockey that is preached world wide. The purists however have decided offense is now the key not defense, and IMO it's because they can't handle losing to the pacific division with better hockey.
Final note as long as it's a pacific division team that wins I'll be happy. It feel so good to finally put another cup banner(ANA) in the pacific division and shut the hockey snobs up.
P.S. Quick for Vesina no other player has done more to get their team where they are than him. Smith is a close second IMO. Love seeing BRYZ struggle without Sean Burke to coach his crazy head. |

Got to get over one hump at a time and both central squads are good enough to win. Great goalies, great coaching and some "unseen" scoring can get teams far |

If this team wins the cup with a bunch of nothing and 30 plus year old has beens....i am done with the NHL hockey.
They have been more fortunate than good. Bounces and breaks go there way. And the preds have decide to play lazy and bad.
Trotz needs to get after his guys. Radulov...what a lazy ass russian mercenary! Bench his sorry ass!!! |

I don't get why people have such negative things to say about the Coyotes. It's a great underdog story in the NHL. A bunch of cast offs and has beens proving hard work and dedication pay off. Rooting for the perennial favorites is like wishing Bill Gates earns another million $ or a Kardashian gets another reality TV show contract.

When you win a series and go up 2-0 in the next series, it's hardly luck. |

There are lucky elements, every team has them. You can't win without some luck, let alone a 7 game series. But to call the entire run thus far luck is a poop stain and a farce. They could lose the next four straight and it wouldn't dampen what the team has done. |

Curious to get your thoughts on Boedker. He has looked fantastic in the playoffs. His speed is really starting to show. How much of his success comes from his pairing with Vermette? |

That has helped but as you've seen, he's not usually on that line. I think Korpi's injury has helped him the most oddly enough. More top-6 time, more short handed time and just more confidence. The guy has world class speed but was rushed, never got the chance to maximize his offensive skills. Now he has the option of getting in on the lesser pairings in a war of attrition and his speed just breaks them. Add that to some confidence in his shot and you have a whole new player, usually he would pass 90% of the time but since that OT goal he's shooting all the time. I think it might just be development. |
