My sources tell me the announcement at 5pm is to officially name Shelley team mascot.

His duties have expanded from delivering Clarke popcorn, to a more jack of all trades role with the team. Taking photos with kids, dancing with fatboy slim in the upper tank etc...

I saw ASF on the train Friday night coming home from the relays.. I let him know he is missed. Sounds like his job will be reassessed in July and he might be back on the beat after.

It's been a real treat hearing the stories he CAN share on the radio. Laughed out loud at the Craig Berube threatening to beat up Brian Leetch one.

I think if you go back to the last game of the regular season, the Flyers had most of their pieces in place. The rangers jumped out to a monster 4-0 lead but Bryz was adjusting to that gimp foot. (I hate getting ahead of myself b/c we still have a whole series to play but here goes..) The last two periods once Bryz got used to the foot the Flyers looked like they might climb back into that thing. So take away the awful first period and you get a better idea at least imo of what those two teams will look like. Also Briere is in his trademark playoff form so that's another thing to factor in. This is not the same team that got rolled all reg season and I think it will be better for the flyers going forward. A win will be a huge challenge in that series if it happens. But I think fate might smile on the Flyers this year...

Joe- i wasnt even thinking about that game, I had completely forgotten about it . The rags PP was horrible all year long, except when they played the Flyers. My feeling is: the rags will collaspe on the net, force wide shots, blocked shots and try to transition off of that, along with turnovers, thats how the generate offence. The Flyers wont give up many chances to them if they play smartly. I think the key to winning vs the Rags is not to allow their PP to convert oppotunities, as they did in the regular season. (should these teams match up next round )

Really? I thought it was ugly. I don't care what the goalie's name is, you HAVE to cover your five hole. It is simple. If he doesn't do it, the goalie coach needs to be all over him about it and try to help correct the issue.
