Best part. Burke doesn't even know what Murray's offer was. It's not like Burke has the time or the patience to listen to the offer and think about it. Screw that! Just cut the guy off, mid offer and send him packing.

Made for great tv. Kadri was a decent pick though. It was likely either him, Magnus PS or Kassian. I would have gone with MPS but then, all three are crap shoots at this point.

Jared Cowen isn't bad. He dropped like a rock because of his knee injury otherwise he was set to go much higher.

Yup he was, but they had their guy in Schenn as the defensive dman of the future. I'd be happy if Kadri could get to a David Bolland type of guy at this point. 15-20 goal guy 40+ points but brings some ratiness to his game like he did in junior.

I remember wanting Kassian so bad. Still to this very day it angers me he isn't a leaf.

Cowen has more offensive potential than Schenn and would have made a formidable pairing. Plus whatever else they would have got for trading down.
