I can't believe I read pages about Metal, I'm glad I don't have to school anybody on the history of music, not worth my time.
Carry on... - LeafMan
I am in total shock of what i just read, a dude with an account ironmaidenick and he has no (frank)ing clue about metal history whatsoever, so i assumed that he is a) a poser, b) in his early 20's. Cause that statement i found to be insulting to dedicated metal heads everywhere, i sense a timeout coming.

zeppelin is metal?
cool - senstroll
Hmm, not so much as where they ended up, but when they started, they were so much heavier than most other bands of their time, and era, that people grouped them in with acts such as Deep Purple and Sabbath. Since then they have been more or less classified as hard rock, or classic rock now ( so is Deep Purple really), but i am not sure a metal head would become upset if someone classified them as metal, and they are in part responsible in some ways for the evolution of the genre and of it's history. Zeppelin is the kind of band that kind of crossed a few genres that were made up long after they were already done. With their range of music, it is kind of hard to put them in one genre and have them fit perfectly.

All of Led Zeppelin's music was VERY influence on blues...which is really the base of ALL music.
Each one of those three influenced / helped create heavy metal in their own way. It wasn't their goal but it just worked out that way. - Unholy_Goalie
Oh yeah for sure. They were definitely HUGELY influential. The "holy trinity" remark is what I was referring to as being debatable. Some people could argue (validly) that other bands would be in that holy trinity you speak of. That's a matter of opinion lol
Why do you keep putting Blacker on the Leafs next year, let alone the 1st pairing?? I love the kid and think he'll be a fine NHL'er, but he's not ready yet. - burn
because im assuming if we get bernier, one of franson or gunner will be traded. As i make a dream lineup i make trades as well
