Debatable. Could be 2-3 games based on his history. Give me 48hrs and I will post a video responce. - noename09
Of course it's never good to see a guy go down like that, but I play the game hard and sometimes these things happen. Hopefully he's alright. |

Truee i guess your rightt, what did he do this season... 53 pts ...iunno im just throwing out names here, there arent really any centers available. Thortons too old, nash costs too much, jordan staal gunna be resigned, anahiem ducks have a ton of money to resign perry and getzlaf, brassard could be an option... iunno were still gunna have a centerman problem. - Mapleleafs_91
I'm not sold on Stastny right now. He had 6 more points, in 6 more games played, than Bozak, our current band-aid solution. If we're going to start dealing assets, we need to make sure there is no question they'll be an upgrade over the patchwork solution we currently employ. |

So instead of getting big named players like nash or a bust of stasny and trading our future what if we had something along the lines of this...
Kessel Brassard Lupul
Mac Grabo Stewart
Frattin Bozak Kulemin
Langenbrunner Stecks Brown
Blacker Phaneuf
Gardiner Schenn
Liles Franson
Bernier
Reimer
Then basically later just make offers to Parise, Suter, Carle |

You had time to slow down and avoid contact. You could have ignored the hit and carried on. You saw someone in a vulnerable position and pounced. We may have to have an in-person hearing. |

lmaooo but then what do you expect burke to do haha, theres not much people available and all hell will break lose if we trade away our future, 1st rounder, or any of our high prospects
and who cares, shove blacker in the line up, cant get any worse than it is. Make the youngsters play, the marlies prob have a better chance of making the playoffs than the leafs |

Do what you can to get J Staal, try your best to acquire Luongo for cheap.
Problems solved. |

Luongo sucks, id rather take a run at bernier since the leafs are no where ready to be competitive even if we make the playoffs. If bernier is a bust, there will be more goalies the upcoming years as UFAS.
Jordan staal makes the most sense, since the penguins seem like their hands are tied with alot of salary cap. |

You're right, they actually clarified the deal last week. Rather than being an opt-out, he has the opportunity to give a list of 5 teams he'll accept a trade to. I believe Vancouver then has 1 month to trade him. I'm trying to find the exact details, but it involves a similar process. - p_zub
If he does not submit that list of teams, it perhaps constitutes retirement... but that is the ONLY way Vancouver gets out of that deal, limited NTC or not.
The Canucks fans who have mentioned this are more stupid than I can believe.
If there really was an "out" clause for teams, then why all the ridiculous jumping through hoops and life-time contracts to circumvent the cap.
There are no "out" clauses for teams in this CBA.

My guess is the 5th overall + Gardiner + Kulemin maybe?
In other words, no thanks.
The team is not ONE Jordan Staal away from contending. It would just be more mortgaging the future for a non-existent shot at present success.
