I think bernier is going to cost too much, isn't proven and may not even be an upgrade over what we already have.

well if it would come at a decent price, you have two goalies with major upside at ages 22-24. i think it would be a good risk, since all other goaltenders are old, we dont want luus big contract, an bernier is not expensive with potential since this leaf team is not ready just yet unless burke makes some other major trades for forwards this summer...

edit: we are still technically rebuilding, bernier at age 22 is a player you can rebuild with in the long run

Leafs have tons of young prospects who can start there careers off as Role Players then move up into top six scorers with grit... Ross, Biggs, Ashton, Frattin....

I think we could get Bernier for like Mac or Franson plus a 2nd.

Frattin is solid man, love that guy, anyone thats a big guy taking a run at him he basically owned them haha, hes solid on his skates, with alot of grit, tough player to play against i would say.. enjoyed watching him play with the leafs this year.

I think Lu gets a bad rap in a lot of big games. He is the starting goalie in the gold medal game and everyone says that they won in spite of Lu. Then he takes his team to game 7 of the finals, single handedly wins 3 of those games in the Finals, and his team scores 8 goals in 7 games. Yet he gets most of the sh!t. I'd argue that if it weren't for Lu, they would not have made it to game 7

Why do all Canuck fans and bloggers sound like used car salesmen the last few weeks.

I know leafs so desperately need a center but think about it.... kessel and lupul set each other up the whole season, with lupul getting hurt this season, potential for lupul could of been 75 pts+ and kessel having an amazing season. Bozak on the same line only got 47 pts or whatever... not the proper centerman for first line...
