Nash and Thornton are both not good options even if they are available. Both will cost too much and neither one helps us rebuild properly.
Parros, if not resigned, is DEFINITELY Toronto bound. Absolutely no doubt that he's on Burke and Carlyle's radar as soon as July 1st opens up. - Unholy_Goalie
if burke does nothing this summer, he is fired you do know that? lmaoo he is obviously pursuing a big fish this summer. |

LET THE YOUNGSTERS PLAY - Mapleleafs_91
...yes, but their proper roles. If Kadri makes the team he should be playing on the top 2 lines and getting PP time ...not rolling down the wing on the checking line. Ashton and Colborne need more time in the A. Ross could look good in that role in a couple of years. |

I'm pretty sure Lupul was in the same circle as Richards and Carter back in his Flyer days so you can kind of figure out what type of guy he once was and maybe still is. - Unholy_Goalie
Final year of his contract, interesting to see if Burke/Nonis will do the same as they did with Grabovski or if they trade Lupul near the deadline. |

I don't give a flying what Burke has to do to stay employed. What I care about is what is right for the team. If he goes out and blows a bunch of picks and prospects to acquire one of Nash or Thornton, he's an idiot. |

I so hope the LEafs can luck out with the role players like they did when the signed Armstrong. |

If they were smart, which they weren't, they would have sent both MacArthur and Grabovski packing much like they should send Lupul packing while his value is at it's absolute peak.
Chances are, he has another good to very good year and they resign him like they did with Grabovski. Unless of course, they get canned before they have the chance to do so. Which is what I hope happens. |

i know, but were not the GM, he is, his ass is on the line, not ours, personally if nash could come at a more decent price, go for it. Thorton is way to old now i agree. |

That should be the 4th line. Just two players. Brown and Parros. Carry a 7th defender so when Phaneuf or Schenn decide they have to fight or take a penalty, you have somebody to kill penalties. Maybe sign a shootout specialist like Christensen and swap him and one of the two tough guys when the situation calls for it.
Nah, screw that, leave the shootout points on the board. Tank it.

Apparently he's a bit of a headcase ...but he's got all the qualities BB is looking to add ...and the price tag will never be lower.
If there's any truth to the rumor that Ott might be available he should check the price tag on him too. - The Law

Nash WILL NOT come at a decent price. Their GM has already put the price sky high and it's way out of the Leafs price range.
I've said it before, the maximum I would pay for Nash is Lupul, Gunnarsson and Kadri. Lupul gives them some offense, Gunnarsson gives them a top four defender and Kadri has potential to give them more offense.
More than that, it's no longer worth it. And even at that price, the Leafs still don't have a goalie or a center or any of the other things they desperately need. All they would get from Nash is more "flash" or in short, a better version of Kessel.
If they traded Kessel for a young, legit center however, then they might have something going. But chances of that are really low. |

That's an issue for sure ....he's young though so maybe he's worth fixing. Wayne Simmonds had the same rap ....and he's turned it around. - The Law
And he's already had 2 season that were better than Simmonds. |

I admit i was shocked what they gave grabs, but it's done. Almost two years ago i said that Frattin was my dark horse pick to make the team, next year will be D'Amigo and a real dark horse will be Ross. |
