Isn't that the only time, be definition, a goalie has a chance to "steal a game"? - eayost

It's unfair to ask Bryzgalov to steal this game with the type of effort in front of him. - PLindbergh31

Not really. There can be a game where both teams generate a bunch of scoring chances, and one goalie significantly outplays the other, hence stealing the game. Sure I would like Bryzgalov to steal this game, but imo it's not fair when the team in front of him isn't even competing. |

G will rally the troops in the room, they'll play hard for Bryz, and the 3rd will be fine |

I'm just mostly in awe of the fact that the Flyers can't even make ONE pass coming out of their own end. It's clear/flip out and thus no puck possession time. Chasing the game and playing the game exactly the way NJ wants the Flyers to play it. Lavy you need to make adjustments my dude. |

If their "system" is outworking/outhustling the Flyers, than yes, they are executing it - eayost
It's not just that, it's the way you do things. A lot more goes into it then simply dumping the puck in, they play a system that depends on that, and they want to pressure and force the turnovers. The gaps and the way they forecheck and also come back on the forecheck is all done for a reason, and they did it to perfection. Even when the Flyers came into the zone, they stifled them because they minimized the options and took them away, because of playing their system. |

Can't even be happy when Bryz is actually stealing a game because they Flyers aren't letting him do it right |

Who cares if it's fair. This is why you sign a top goalie. To win a game you had no business winning. We'll see what happens in the 3rd. And I do believe the Flyers will win this game.

This game isn't about a system. It never is. It's about work ethic, and winning battles and puck races. That's what it's always about.

Granted the flyers didn't play their best, but I took it as the devils giving their all and our goalie doing what we hoped. They will come out better in the third and we can forget about "the worst period of playoff hockey ever" - funmaster18
Granted nothing. Bryz was under the spotlight and he shined. It was like his guitar solo in that second period. Take it away boys. |

The flyers are looking like they are skating in sand. They need to get their heads back in this game. |

I'm thrilled with the way Bryzgalov is playing, just not happy with the play of the team. I'm sure 99.9% of the fans, and all the coaches agree.
Another PP. They need one here.
