The Bruins went into overtime in the first round to beat the Canadiens, to further prove your point. - _Zippy_

I don't know, I see a team that constantly isn't ready to play at the drop of the puck. I wonder why that issue hasn't been addressed in half a season. - PLindbergh31
they really looked ready to me. maybe they emptied the tank after 10-15 minutes? the devils did it the other night. |

To criticize is one thing, but you're making it sound like the team is hopeless. The whole overzealous demand for answers, that's a reaction I'd reserve for a team with deeper issues like the Maple Leafs, not one tied in a second round playoffs series against another top team in the conference. The Flyers should've been a lot better tonight. But sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you. - BulliesPhan87
The Devils made them do it!

You cite what the Bruins have done in a previous post, then say who cares what the Rangers have done? Not sure I get it. - PLindbergh31
I agree. I'm not sure whether you do or not, either. Here's the point. Its the playoffs. Every team is a good team. Any team is capable of beating any team. |

i'm going to watch it. the first 10 minutes they're absolutely flying out there, creating shorthanded chances, skating, supporting the puck. they look good. i want to see where they go south. i'm not really worried about the loss. i still expect them to win in 6. - hammarby31
There are losses and there are losses. After being 3-0 up to Pens, they were due a clunker and Bryz could not stop anything. Last year they were outplayed by a much better team.
Keep your blood pressure meds handy for this one, for there are no such excuses. |

If they lose, they lose, not showing up is unacceptable to me. If other folks are ok with it no skin off my back. Whatever floats your boat.

the worse part of tonight is that every time the puck went into the corner the Flyers would look at each other, like are you going to go get it?
the second worse part is the passing. the Devils on the other hand, excelled.
the third worse part is how many shots on goal were passed up, trying for the pretty goal.

Exactly. I'm completely confident that this team will fix what happened tonight, and come out and play well the rest of the Series. Give the Devils some credit. They outplayed the Flyers in every aspect tonight. - MJL
The Devils wanted it more tonight. They outworked the Flyers all night long and were rewarded for it. I think the Flyers get back to playing solid hockey on the road. |

Yes, tonight the first 10 minutes were the best, then it was all down hill from there. |

they got cocky, started to ease up. Devils wratcheted up the effort, punched them in the mouth. hopefully they wake. they should come back here 3-1, unless Bryz has a bad game. |

Suggesting any of us are 'ok' with tonight is a misassessment. But it's just one game. |

Philly is a great team and I have no qualms saying that. However Nj has s hell of a team too and in a 7 game series it's a dog fight. Reading these comments, where you several of you expected Philly to roll over NJ without breaking a swear makes me wonder id this is the first time some of you have seen the post season. It's the best of 5 against two of the better clubs in the ec. |

I would expect at least a split in NJ.
It won't be like playing in Pittsburgh. |

I have to wonder if a coaching change is in order, he really got me thinking about that. If Lavy did lose the team they need to make the change right now, while there is still a sliver of hope left.
