RIP JR Seau

I don't put that much stock in the whole timeout thing, but I thought Lavy could have called one about 8 minutes or so into the second. You could see the sloppy play, etc. Even with Bryz keeping them in the game, you had seen this movie before. I would have liked him to take them to task, though i understand why he was saving it for more a more game-specific situation. Whether it would have made a difference I don't know, but his timeouts usually spark them.

he's done a good job with them overall, and i wouldn't have minded a TO there. probably saving it for an icing situation, and with the lead he's not likely to use it. fonzi on the other hand, has and would in that situation. he's so angry.

It bugs me, more than it should perhaps. Look, if a member of the media isn't a fan of the team, or wants to present an angle that's critical of their hockey related actions, that's their prerogative. If they want to report personality articles about players as well, so be it. The on going and persistent effort to put out these semi-sarcastic and, as you accurately described, pejorative toned pieces is far beyond old, though.

It doesn't ruin my day, and it doesn't ruin the hockey for me. It's just irksome that players are required to interview, punishable by pain of fine to the team, with people who're only seeking to make them look bad or stupid.

You're right, though, that there are more important matters at hand. Such as the Flyers coming out and flattening the Devils tomorrow night!
