Aren't they just making fun of themselves by insinuating there are only ugly women in NJ? Maybe they need to come up with better material.. - funmaster18
I didn't have time to ask or reason with them. My brother (Uncle Goalie/UG) stole the opportunity. |

Yes. Not sure the severity though. I think he had a fragment removed or something? Not sure.
bill? Dr jak? Care to weigh in? - funmaster18
It all depends to be honest.. Obviously were not really privy to what is plaguing Kovy... but if he does have a back issue it absolutely could be made worse... However, if he is going to have surgery (which i would expect) making it worse is really a non-factor in the long term. The true negative effect in the short term would be pain, and there are certain ways to manage that.
If he has a bulging disc (which is different from a HNP (Herniated Nucleus Pulposus)) playing through it could result in a full blown herniation..
Ultimately, he isnt risking his career by playing through it. Just hurts like hell. |

Or they are self aware enough to realize that any woman who'd have one of them is lacking. So they are making fun of themselves that way while putting down Philly women. |

The Flyers need to go back to basics on the Power play. They were successfull when they took their time, set up passing lanes, took shots form the point and created havoc in front with Simmonds and Hartnell. Marty's rebound control has not been good and they need to take advantage of that. - deligirl83

Him and JVR, yes. And the puck Hartnell blocked in Game 1. |

I'm worried about possible hidden injuries to a number of them. But having a run in the silky mitts would be a big deal. |

I was gonna touch on that.... but its been crazy here today and I thought I had some work. I have a mini lull (it appears) so I can now..
Like you said, it also can cause weakness and numbness and tingling. The weakness is probably the most serious of all the symptoms. It can range from just general weakness, to legs giving out, to a dropped foot, to trouble standing. Obviously, if any of that were to occur with Kovy.. he wouldn't be playing.
The numbness and tingling can be extremely annoying, but isnt typically a debilitating issue.
EDIT:
Also.. depending on the location and severity of the issue.. bending can be a real pain in the ass (literal usage here). Hockey and bending go hand in hand. |
