Yea, let's hit them a put ourselves even more out of position.
It all starts with working and skating. We need to show the desperation and skating the legs that the Devils have in the last few periods of the series. The time starts now, because as others have said, it's only going to get worse if we don't. - LordStanley88
It's not a question of position. You hit them a bit and let them know they can't waltz into the zone so easily at the blue line. Because once they're in the there, we can't get them out. |

Bryz could have had the first goal, but no blame we are cool it's only tied. Kovy's goal no chance. The Flyers for whatever reason lost all confidence and it shows in their play. The moment the face adversity they stop skating.
Giroux IMO is getting punked and is not handling the extra attention very well. Is Jagr playing tonight?
The flyers are looking like the worst team in the playoffs that i have seen at this point. - bird_dog
anyone catch the name of the Flyer who was trailing Kovy on that 2nd goal? looked like he was coasting, instead of busting his ass to get back.

Yea, so we need to skate harder and do a better job of protecting and clearing the puck. That's the adjustment that's sorely needed. |

And the Devils played I believe 4 overtime games against that -24 goal differential Panthers squad. - PLindbergh31
Every team in the playoffs is a very good team. Including the Devils and the Panthers. Where is the Flyers forward depth that I keep reading about? Make no mistake about it. Were seeing that this Devils team is capable of beating the Flyers in this series. And it's not going to be the cakewalk that some thought it would be.

this is reminding me of a series i watched last year at this time.different leaders same results.so i guess giroux and hartnell are getting traded sometime in june. - richiewinthecup
I think the Flyers maybe thought they had it made after game 1. They have to adjust and battle through it. Maybe the issue is they are trying to keep the puck away from Marty, but they should be doing the soft dump in and chase it.. Zone time is outta control here. |

I have plenty of faith. Just would like to see them move their feet more. No reason the Devils should be controlling the game like this. The Flyers need to step their game up another level. They may need someone to drop the gloves or lay a hit. |

agreed ... I almost wish one of the Devils would lay out a dirty hit, just to get the blood boiling in the Flyers.
The Flyers, for some reason, seem to NEED emotion to play their best, and I don't see a lot of emotion out there right now. They HAVE TO play on the edge. |

I'm wondering whether it's a lack of effort, frustration or that NJ's D is handling the puck better than ours? |

don't know how its possible that i feel like i am watching a different game than some of the people in here. i would think brodeur scored on bryz reading some of this garbage. - dillpx183
It's simple. When people don't understand the game, they point their finger at the goalie and throw a hissy fit. It makes sense to them because the goalie is the last line of defense and should by synonymous to a wall. Unfortunately, they don't realize that "team defense" needs to be evident in a game in order for the team to succeed. They also tend to ignore any good save a goalie makes, stating "the goalie needs to save them all, not just the ones he feels like it." It's almost funny to watch people simplify a sport into a simple, retarded concept...... |

They need to start playing balls out at this point. The Devils are the better team right now and they need to take that back. |
