carle probably would have been better served by pinning the puck and trying to make a play rather than get a weak poke under pressure. put lilja in a tough spot, and then he didn't cover his man going to the net. that's a goal you also want bryz to prevent. not great all around. credit the devils for hustling and making the turnover.
