A bad game is one thing, a loss is one thing, playing a playoff game with zero effort or passion isn't acceptable. - PLindbergh31
Well theres nothing anyone can do at this point but put that game behind them and get ready for tonights game. Have to play much better and I expect they will.
Big game tonight. I sense a total 180 from Tuesday. Flyers will give up first goal and roll from there.
I think Simmonds / Schenn start the turn around with either a thunderous hit or fighting Clarkson. - bgratch
I would like to see the Flyers play a much more physical game tonight. They need to start to create some "hatred" towards the Devils. The chippy play really hasnt been there so far and the Flyers are lacking emotion in this series.

Agreed. Put game 2 in the rear view mirror and learn from it. You figured after game 4 vs. Pittsburgh we wouldn't have seen it again.
I believe the Flyers will win this series, after seeing the Devils struggle tremendously with a below average Panthers team, I think they have a number of weaknesses that can be exploited.

This is what I posted a few pages back. I am in total agreement.

Get under their skin. Get them to deviate from their disciplined game. Someone said it the other day that Philly thrives on the chaos. Time to stir poop up. Take a run or two at Marty. Maybe a nice crosscheck to Parise's back like Schenn did on Crosby. Giroux coming out and laying someone like Parise, Elias, or Zajac out, and then scoring a goal in the first 32 seconds would be a good way to start the game. Get them off their game by playing Flyers hockey. Hartnell should be in the middle of it all. When he is, they play better. Bring the nasty in a semi-disciplined, semi-calculated way. Mess with their (frank)ing heads (Oh Pronger, how we miss you in this particular facet of the game). Do all of the above in the context of a feet moving, hard forechecking, shot blocking, net crashing, traffic in front, well executed game. Win.

The Devils are a decent club but we all know if the Flyers play to their ability they should win this series imo because I believe they are the better team. They have to work harder and create their opportunities. The Devils aren't going to hand it to them. The Flyers need to start to build the hatred towards the Devils. Need to be more physical and control the game.

I want to see the Schenn from game one of the Pittsburgh series.
Am I the only one who thinks the Flyers actually benefit with NJ having Kovalchuk in their lineup? - Pixote Andolini
Nope. I think with him in the lineup the Flyers have to play solid because he is dangerous. Kovy is a goal scorer in this league and he gives the Devils a player that has to be respected out on the ice. The Flyers played to loose the other night and part of that could be the fact that the Devils best player (imo) was not in the lineup.
