To me, this is kind of what seperates Canada from other countries. I mean at any given time say Russia's stars could be on par with Canada's. The Crosby's/Malkins/Stamkos ect ect. But Canada's overwhelming depth is (frank)ing kind of silly.
For instance, make a "C" Team Russia or USA or Sweden and compare it to Canada. |

Right
For Looch, Seguin, Rask and Z right? - Cape Breton Bruins
My offer was Eberle, #1 pick, and a defenseman for Seguin, Looch and Hamilton
That commie can score goals
And I'm really worried about Tylers contract for some reason.
Lucic is on my sh!t list, BTW. |

Lloks like goaltending will be an issue.
I don't think there is a canadian goalie that would even make the american team right now. Miller (healthy again), Quick, Thomas, potentially Schneider would be ahead of every single canadian goalie. - prock
Schneider ahead of price!!???
Quick i suppose right now. But thats it.
Miller and price are very close.
Price is and will be elite.
No worries in net for canada, or anywhere else for that matter |

That's not at all what I said.
Just to give you an idea of how I see it; The WJC is a tournament of the best boys on the planet, the Olympics would be a tournament of the best players, grown men, who are seasoned vets. It's not even remotely comparable. That's not to belittle what Eberle has done for the Canadian Juniors, but it doesn't translate. - bureforearthsprez
Hes been pretty damn good in the world championships too. Especially this year.
Its a weak argument really. The kid had 75+ points on a brutal team in his second year as a pro.
He's been money at every level hes played in, and the nhl has been no exception.
Id strongly consider him today, and if he continues on this path, he'll be a lock in 2014 |

Do u really need me too?
U cant just plainly see it?
Guess im not surprised.
Aside from his respectable numbers on the 3rd worst team in the game this season, last season he had great numbers too. And hes only 25. In 2011, he carried a mediocre team on his back to ot of game 7 with the eventual champs. They shouldnt have even been in the playoffs if not for him.
Aside from that, numbers dont always tell the whole story either.
Especially in goalies' cases. Watching the habs on a semi regular basis, price didnt always just keep his team in it, he had to make spectacular save after spectacular save to do it. The quality of shots he faces are very high in a ton of games.
There defence was terrible and haven given him much help in a long time.
Anyway, i have no worries with price between the pipes for the juggernaut canada'll be. |

The only Juggernaut at the 2014 Olympics, IF the NHL Shuts down for the better part of a month , will be the team representing the host country. |

Yeah. No.
U watch too much world championship hockey.
Russias top end is ridiculous, maybe even better than canadas. Its close for sure.
Malkin, ovechkin, datsyuk, kovalchuk vs crosby, giroux, stamkos, tavares etc.
But canadas depth is ridiculous.
Our 3rd and 4th lines, as well as all 6 dmen we bring are all superstars too pretty much.
No matter what u say, canada is the favourites. And always will be when all the best players in the world get together and compete. |

And Canada always tends to start tourny's slow until they find some line combo's and chemistry that work. |

Tyler Seguin had 67 points in his second year as a pro and has been through a Cup run.
The problem is not Eberle's resume, it's the retarded depth of Canadian forwards. There will be other players with one, or both A) stronger career numbers, B) more experience, specifically playoff experience. |

Eberle has 16 points in 19 WC games, 9 of which are goals. He's more proven internationally. I'd probably take him over Seguin at the Olympics at this point. In the NHL it's a wash. Flip a coin. |

Hes one of the most clutch performers internationally as canadas ever had.
And already has 76 points in the show in his second year.
To say seguins the better choice because he happened to get drafted by a much better team is ridiculous.
Canadas depth is nuts, and no player save about 5 are locks.
But as i said, right now eberle gets STRONG consideration.
And if he continues to develop at this rate over the next season and a half, he may be among one of those locks.
Regardless of the oilers success. |

I never said canada has no chance of losing, they wouldnt bother playing if it was all academic. It would be pretty foolish to underestimate any of russia, sweden, usa, czechs etc etc. I just said canada'll be the favourites. Which they will be.
This entire conversation started by u retorting to my canadian juggernaut comment with;
' the only juggernaut team will be the home team'.

I see, so that must be an indication that Canada has issues on the big ice surface. So, I assume, by your earlier comments, the Russian juggernaut has won all the recent olympic hockey tourneys on olympic size ice?
Exactly how many would that be since they levelled the playing field by allowing pros? Have they all gone to Russia? In fact, when was the last time Russia, without players from the other states of the USSR, has won the gold? |

Why does every person making comments like this immediately point to a crappy team in front of him as the reason for inferior stats? The very first thing they do is make excuses.
