He wasn;t benched but he also wasn't paired with keith anymore.
He became the 7th Dman when Doughty I believe emerged as a top 6? |

i cant remember, might be best to add some speed like jay bo over seabrook
same reasoning with phaneuf, really like his game this year and think he would be an asset..... but the size of the rink and speed of the game would worry me
hows pietrangelo been playing, seen / heard more of jaybo than him this year |

Can't see at this point why Giroux would be a lock over Bergeron.
Also, unless I'm mistaken doesn't Sharp play LW? If we're playing a winger away from his natural wing, why not bring a C/W like Couture instead? - Morris
Couture is a lock for this team |

Yes he is. The guy can play elite defense at Center (or wherever they put him) while still providing offense. He has to make the team. - daeth
He's overrated. On the big ice his defense won't be as effective. And the guy is playing very mediocre offensively. |

If he gets selected he'll barely see the ice. I don't see him as a lock this time around. |

http://www.iihf.com/compe...cs-2014-men/schedule.html
IF Canada makes it all the way to the Gold Medal game, it will start at 1 AM EST - Doppleganger
3:30 pacific. Ugh
Pvr'n if it's a weekday is so hard as well, as there's literally no way u can go through your day and not hear what happened.
First world problems..
The final, should we get there, is fine though. |

My final team. An opinion, not a guess:
Forwards
Nash - Crosby - Stamkos
Tavares- Toews - Giroux
Duchene - Getzlaf - Perry
Couture - Bergeron - Sharp(checking line)
M.Richards, Benn
Defensemen
Keith - Weber
Subban - Doughty
Bouwmeester - Pietrangelo
Hamhuis/Vlasic - Seabrook
Goalies
Price
Luongo
Crawford/Smith(doesn't matter) |

Forwards
Nash - Crosby - Stamkos
Tavares- Toews - Giroux
Marleau- Getzlaf - Perry
Couture - Bergeron - Sharp(checking line)
Thornton
Defensemen
Keith - Weber
Subban - Doughty
Vlasic - Pietrangelo/Seabrook(would play Seabrook with Keith if in the lineup)
Hamhuis - Seabrook/Pietrangelo
Goalies
Price
Luongo
Who Cares
- I doubt the 3rd goalie even plays, I laugh at the people who spend time debating who should go
- I wanted 3 lefites(Keith, Vlasic, Hamhuis) out of the 8 d-men
- Vlasic deserves to go anyways, so damn underrated
- Went Hamhuis over J-Bo, Hamhuis plays tougher minutes with similar possession numbers
- Seguin is awesome, but from what I've been reading and have seen, he's much more effective as a center and he's not a top 5 Canadian center
- Not sure why many don't have Thornton/Marleau on their teams, unless you're in the"they don't have what it takes to win" camp. They've been two of the best forwards(along with Couture) on one of the best teams in the league this season.
- Could make a case for any of St.Louis, Benn, Duchene, Lucic, Kunitz, Neal, Staal etc.... - Nucker101
yzerman love st.louis. he's on it.
ill be pissed if Duchene doesn't make the team.
stammer, Crosby, st.louis
Tavares, getzlaf, perry
couture, toews, Duchene
nash, Bergeron, Giroux
sharp/benn
keith-doughty
weber-subban
jaybo- pietr
seabrook/vlasic

Yeah, you could easily have him on the team, but that post was basically the Team Canada I'd want more so than a prediction.
I made some changes, my final roster would be:
Forwards
Nash - Crosby - Stamkos
Tavares- Toews - Giroux
Duchene - Getzlaf - Perry
Couture - Bergeron - Sharp(checking line)
Thornton, Seguin/Benn
Defensemen
Keith - Weber
Subban - Doughty

Among the invited, I would say
Hall, Duchene, Eberle, Kunitz, Ladd, Marchand, J. Staal were bubble invites at the beginning of the year. - Morris
Watched "after forty" last night, when the panelists each listed off their "locks" and "on the bubble" players for Team Canada.
Taylor Hall's name did not appear anywhere on anyone's list.

Come on guys... TAYLOR HALL deserves to be on this team. The fact that he's constantly surrounded by losers and he still hasn't offed himself is phenomenal. |

He'll be running for the exits soon enough!!
For realz though; no doubt his scoring acumen and elite north/south skating for the big ice easily qualifies him for this team.
But he's mediocre defensively and i think that limits the amount of spots he'd be considered for.
Ie; top 6 or nothin.
I think hall's tear when he returned certainly put him back in the convo. but with yzerman mentioning experience, other players doing more very recently, i cant see him making it over nash, st.louis, Stamkos, tavares, giroux
Maybe an extra role in case stammer cant play, but not even sure about that. |

Myself and the so called "experts" on HNIC don't agree with you.
Sorry, but it is what it is.
You never know, he could make the team despite what HNIC panelists are suggesting. |

What you fail to understand that it was my opinion a few months ago, when Hall was injured, that he was not going to be on the team to begin with.
It was my opinion then and it is now, and is shared by the HNIC panelists.
get over it and stop whining, it's just an opinion.

Taylor is such a lock for this team, as I've said all along, that he broke logic and now isn't even on the bubble.
It's so simple! |

I think Mike Richards, Kunitz and St.Louis make it in reality over Seguin, Staal and either Bergeron or Benn however. |

Everyone wants there guys on the squad, it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Personally I think we have guys who can do what Hall does offensively but add more to the mixture. If one thing he has going for him is being a natural winger and having a game that's more suited towards the bigger ice. |

Ha. U were totally proven wrong!!
U said from the start he was a for sure lock!!!and now if he doesnt make it ur gonna look silly.
the rest of us have been vindicated!!
Maybe next time u wont make such definitive statements.
I bet ur feeling foolish right now.
OR WAIT A MINUTE!!!
You never said anything of the sort. U made a reasonable and intelligent remark from the very beginning! which was and still is 100% true.
It's doppleganger that's an idiot. And he still cant grasp the simple concept you attempted to make.
Of course!
That makes WAYYY more sense |

And obviously the fact that as of today it seems that Hall won't make the team proves that at that time there was no chance Taylor Hall could make the team.
