Meh. I owned their first on cassette, Licensed to Ill. Never really got into much rap, either - especially as gangsta rap took over. I prefer more melodic/dancy rap myself, like the Dynamic Twins. Hmm. I could be like the world's most interesting man.
"I don't listen to much rap, but when I do, I put on Dynamic Twins."
Anyway, nobody's forcing you to listen to the Beastie Boys today. - Flyskippy
yea pretty much. Beastie Boys brought something completely different to the table imo and deserve a place in music history. Gotta Fight for your right was a classic through and through. The American teen's anthem imo. |

The problem was everything (this started sooner but was compounded in that decade) became a copy cat industry. even in sports leagues are all about copying what they perceive as the way to win. Nirvana came out then every one and their mother is a grunge band all of a sudden, wtf. You see it in movies and literature, everything. THe beastie boys were original in their own right and deserve a level of respect. |

Not sure if you're referring to drugs or not but they are more deadly and available than ever these days. |

Drugs are not more available or deadly... The govertment just wants you believe they are... Think about the 70's and weed and acid, and the 80's with coke... they were much easier to get, much cheaper... the lethality hasn't changed, just the way people abuse them.... |

Smith has faced the most shots of any goaltender in the playoffs. He's routinely standing on his head. Phoenix gives up a ton of chances every game. - PLindbergh31

It's only as scary as you let it be. Look at other countries that don't have a "war" on drugs... Less crime, and less abuse. As a matter of fact, I have heard if you legalize marijuana, then people will not be going to the same dealers that have "harder" drugs on them, and will be happy with thier weed high and wont be pressured or tempted to try the harder drugs. Plus prisons will be less crowded from people abusing drugs, and able to house violent offenders longer. |

I dont disagree with any of this. I would even say if Lavy cant get the team to adjust, they are being out coached too. - RooNosHockey
It's hard I say if he's vein out coached, IMO. What I see is the flyers simply being out worked. They have shown that their system works fine against the devils and that they can score when they do the right things. To me it's a lack of execution and effort, not a a coaching issue.
Peter Deboer deserves a lot of credit though, he knew what they needed to do to be successful against the flyers. Even so, the flyers are fully capable of winning this series. |
