Just reviewing game 3, and I STILL can't believe how the Flyers were constantly stationary in their own zone, as the Devils attacked.
It was almost like the mindset was "sure, last shift the Devil's forechecked like hell ... but there's no way they'd do that again, is there?. uh oh ..."

Radulov and A. Kostitsyn will sit again. This time it will backfire however and the Coyotes will win tonight. |

I can see the Preds winning ... and those guys not playing until they lose a game.
But it's a risky move by Trotz, for sure. Hard to go far without 2 or your top 5 or 6 forwards. |

I had no idea until they mentioned it last night that he is quite a religious guy now. They showed him drawing little crosses on his stick grips. Said he goes to church pretty much every day. - rockychocbill
Baptized 2001. Orthodox (not sure if eastern or russian).
EDIT: Leight
the comment about the guys and church? In 2009 it was Hartsy, Carts, Richie and someone else for Christmas Eve kid's service at 5. This year Hartsy, G, Schenn, and Couts. I'm not sure if anyone was there in 2010. But all just Christmas. If you're not Catholic or Orthodox, I'm not sure you'll find daily services in most cities. And they almost always have practice Sunday mornings. I know Stu Grimson was born again. Am sure he isn't the only one. |

i think when this season is over the flyers have to change some personnel on their back line, and lavy has to either implement a defensive system or the flyers need to go in a different direction coaching wise.Obviously this system lavy has struggles big time against defensive minded teams.why is it nj can get the puck out of their end with no probems and it takes the flyers forever to get the puck out?Flyers need to get more defensive d this off season and start paying more like the rangers and L.A.They have the forwards to provide goals and i believe bryz can be a solid goalie maybe not as good as quick or lundquist but better than what we have had in recent years.N.J is not a better team than the flyers they just have a better system if it were not for brodeur giving a couple of softies last night we all would have gotten more seep last night.Anyway even if they dont get past this round it was great beating pitt and we can all watch a bunch of ex flyers raise the cup this year.Barring any injuries nobody is stopping L.A this year. How is Homer going to feel watching our two ex leaders raise the cup one year after being traded, thats just perfect. How many of you think that simmonds and schenn are bringing more to the table now than richards now?Maybe long term it will work out for philly but right now L.A got the better deal.there now i feel better my morning rant is off my chest - richiewinthecup
In a year or two when Schenn has developed more we will probably love the trade. Simmonds was great during the regular season too. Right now though I would rather have Richards any day! Especially since Simmonds is MIA so far these playoffs. Wonder what has happened to him. Are all our guys banged up? |
