okay gang, this is how I see it. A win is paramount to the season being extended but not the end of the world if the Flyers don't get it.
The way I see it the Flyers were able to comeback from 3-0 with a lesser team against a tough opponent in boston. The game the other night was almost ended on a Voracek to schenn deflection and missed by an inch. That game could have went either way. The Flyer scoring Machine hasn't been itself and through the season we have seen them go through slumps like that for 2-3 games then comeback and be on a tear for 4-5 games.
Should the season be over in a few days, which I doubt, I will go on record and say I am happy with this season. I want to win a cup as bad as anyone, but the Future is too bright for this team. A few tweaks to the roster in the offseason and we're gold going forward. We are without 2 of our top four defensemen. Yes Pronger is one of them as well as Mezaros. He was our most valuable dman last year. Another offseason for Homer to figure out what to do and this thing is fine.
Now enough of that. This is a team that the Flyers are utterly capable of beating. For the love of Lindbergh's ghost will they at least commit to getting traffic in front of Boredeur force him to make the secondary save, which he is almost inept at this point in his career at making, and win this damn thing!? I think they can and will.
