The heated debate over goal songs and their implications is a testament to how little the Flyers gave us to discuss. Weaksauce. |

I wasn't talking about the crowd, nor the building. And I've not seen anybody blowing bubbles, digging through toy boxes, carrying glow sticks, nor cheering any less loudly for their team this season. The Flyers fan base continues to be as loud and passionate as it was when Bro Hymn and its predecessors heralded a tally for the home team. I don't need no sepia shaded memories to know that. - BulliesPhan87
am I like the only one that is not allowed to exagerate or sensationalize on this board what the heck man :lol |

Not saying the hit was clean (it absolutely wasn't), but seriously. After the Weber and Neal bullpoop, that's worth a game? Are you (frank)ing kidding me? - jd342
I didn't think he would be suspended because he never left his feet and Zubrus had his head down but unfortunately for the Flyers he will have to sit a game. |

I would agree if Malkin, and Weber received the same justice. The league is a joke.

Shanny's assumption:
Weber's was funny and drew in wrestling fans.
Malkin is a penguin. |

the result of giroux's hearing better not exceed a $2500 fine. the nhl handles player discipline so fing poorly. it was obvious to me that zubrus slowed down at the very last second changing the point of contact from the shoulder (where giroux intended to hit him) to the head. absolute fing joke. i'm gonna slam shana-tard if g gets suspended |

If there's one fault I have with the Flyers defensive zone system it's that they have the defenseman go too high in man to man coverages. Teams are using that to draw defenseman away from the net. It opened up a cross ice pass for the Sykora PP goal. And it also opened up the ice for the Zubrus game winner. even though Hartnell completely blew the coverage. If your going to play that way, then each guy better cover a man, and not leave too early for transition play the other way. Which is what Hartnell tried to do. But Voracek was correctly positioned for an outlet for Timonen. But Kimmo lost the puck. And Hartnell was in no man's land. - MJL
Coburn has to go high there. That side, the only Flyer left is Briere. If he lets his man go, so does Briere, given what he is, and then that man is open instead of Zubrus. Hartnell showed his dumb there. The only thing I can think of is he thought he was playing with Jagr, who would normally not be down so low to receive the pass from KImmo. He did not expect Kimmo to be beat so clean. |

Not a repeat offender. Player wasn't injured. Had his head down. Didn't leave his feet.. granted it wasn't a clean hit, but should not have been suspension worthy. |

Flyers will have to move on and get ready tomorrow night without him. |
