More concerned about the hats then who they are drafting? - DDM-Coga[/img]
To be honest with you....I'd rather he was more concerned about hats than who we draft. The last two times he got involved, we ended up with DiPsh*t, and Alexei Yuseless....

Damn, that is a harsh track record. All the chocolate milk in the world wouldn't help wash down that crap sandwich!
I wonder which set the franchise back farther - the draft pick burned on DP or the contract and endless opportunities given him. One thing to waste your #1... another to waste several years hoping for a subpar, injury-prone keeper to suddenly become Brodeur. |

Hiring Mike Milbury would be the nail in the coffin. Not only did the guy draft by apparently throwing darts at a list of names, but he manage to salt the earth in our prospect pool. |

You could always behead it and burn it later. Is it even possible to burn burnt burns?
Nice win tonight..I mean I personally hated it, but it was one hell of a wild finish. |

Tonight on Long Island, NHL history has been made. For the first time ever, an owner has been fired by his team. We got this quick comment from Tavares on his way to the effigy burning - "about ****ing time! How could the same team be dumb enough to draft them but smart enough to draft me?! You know how good of team I could be playing for??? ....(sob, sob)... I'm wasting my youth!"
The effigy burning itself was a rousing success. We got a quick comment from ex-owner Charles Wang.
"OH GOD I'M NOT AN EFFIGY!"

I could only hope it wasn't an effigy. Guys just gonna run this team on a bare-minimum budget until he gets himself an arena deal. |

The Leafs will never bow down to the fans as far as decisions are made..........wait didn't the fans get Wilson fired?
Saying that most of the seats are sold to corperations and there is very few real tickets available. The team is a money making machine w/o having to try and sell tickets. The best thing that could happen to the Leafs is getting another team in Ontario but they will never let it happen.
thats a shame then... at least with other cities... if the team consistantly loses, then e fans can chose to let them know by having empty seats in the building. I know its over simplifying things, but the pens fans in the mid 2000's did just that, they played chicken with the owners and the city and won. (yes, certainly a powerball lottery win contributed, but the fans forced the ownership to spend up to the cap) |

I don't think the Kings have to worry about Doan as much as Mike Smith. That being said, I don't see Pheonix beating LA. |

Isn't that the one with all the dragons and stuff? No knock on the show, I'm sure it's great...but that sci-fi/fantasy genre stuff never really did it for me, personally. |

I actually think he's being realistic and you're overvaluing your prospects. High end prospects are guys projected to be like can't miss first line guys, like Huberdeau or Yakupov is right now. What you've got are a bunch of mid level prospects, guys who are projected to be 2nd-3rd line guys, but that's not saying they couldn't turn into top line guys if developed right. - BarDownBobo
again, i dont pretend to know these prospects other than what i read from the scouts. im not saying this obnoxiously but have you see these guys play? do i know the guys in the isles system will be top end players? no. do i know the guys in the isles system will be just 2-3 line players? no. so i go with what i read...and if just about ALL the scouts are telling me the isles have a top 5 prospect pool, why WOULDNT i believe that?
again, has anyone seen all these players to tell me they have an educated opinion on whether these guys will amount to something? |
