It was a gift-wrapped penalty by Ward... he sits, your goalie is pulled and it's a 5 on 3. Not that unbelievable lol, especially since you then had a powerplay in OT.
- Conquest

Um, yeah. Scoring the tying goal with 6.6 seconds left in the game happens all the time in the playoffs. Just imagine how unbelievable it would be if it happened to the Leafs. That's some fiction right there. The hard part to picture is the Leafs actually in the playoffs at this point. Go away and let us celebrate a great win.

Not to mention our PP hadn't exactly lit the world on fire...

Still can't believe that game. But this is becoming just a little too much drama for even me. A nice comfortable Game 6 victory would be nice, although highly unlikely.

Maybe this loss deflates and demoralizes the Caps to the point where they quit on the series allowing us to win comfortably in game six. Or not.

Nope, nothing is easy for this team Pete and it isn't easy for their fans either. Just have to deal with the roller coaster of emotions the best way we can. I expect game six to be every bit as contentious as the first five.

Cmon Don. The Islanders are awful yes, but the other 4 teams in the Atlantic all made the playoffs & 3 out of those 4 are still alive in the playoffs.

And as we all know nobody plays the Rangers tougher than the Islanders.

Love how they showed the head-to-heads between the divisions and the Atlantic beat the Pacific. Because that's what you would expect Don if the Pacific was better, tight?

And the Atlantic has 4 of the top 5 teams in the East and 2 of the top 5 teams in the league. He says they don't have as much points because the division is so even, but what about the 25 other teams, should be able to get some points against them.

Lost a lot of respect for Don when he stood by Torres & said the hit wasn't that bad on Hossa & "Its not like he killed a man."

Because Ward of course wanted to bloody Hags up and to put his team down a man with just 22 seconds left between the Caps and a 3-2 series lead. Of course it was unintentional. You could see how bad Ward felt as he sulked in the penalty box during the PP.

Actually Ward's high stick was pretty brutal, I think this "accidental" word about his play is being thrown about too much, it could really have been a major.

Accidental was Kreider's high stick for a penalty about 10 minutes earlier.

Like I said previously, there is zero reason that his stick should have been up like that in the first place.

It's not even just that his stick is "up like that"

He swings it head high with pretty blunt force, this was way more brutal of a play than people who are just labeling it as unlucky or careless. It's probably a lot closer to something that Shanahan should have looked at, IMO.

Pretty sure if it was unlucky or careless no blood would have been drawn.

By the way the Justin tuck thing was awesome!
