Good point. His game does seem to kick up a notch or 2 in the playoffs.

I would like someone with a little more mobility. - MJL
That's definitely a key asset when dealing with teams employing an aggressive forecheck. Injuries played a part I'm sure, but for the most part the Flyers D IMO is a bit too slow for my liking. The faster you can get to the puck, the more time you have to make a decision, amongst other things speed can do. |

Would you guys do a deal centered around JVR for Bogosian? |

That and make other teams pay...they have to be big enough to handle th forechecking...that's where the problem was...small guys were targeted and worn down to a nub - Philly1980
Mez, Coburn, and Grossmann is a start. Homer has to go from there.
Will see if Timonen has one more year left in him. |

I really feel as though Coburn was beastly in these playoffs and down the stretch. He is beginning to resemble a top-pair defenseman, and that bodes well for the future. I was very impressed with his play. - LordStanley88
Coburn was the Flyers best d-man in the playoffs. Timonen is very good as well, but age and injuries are catching up with the Finnish Warrior. |

I wanted Bogosian during the season but then he started playing well and was off the market. |

The Finnish Warrior is about FINISHED!!!
Great player for the Flyers but eventually all good things come to an end. |

But he's their #3, I think he could be pried away for JVR. Bogosian is finally starting to realize his potential but he still has alot of room to get better. And he will. |

He sure was in the P'burgh series. But I have to admit the guy who repeatedly had me seeing him in a positive light was Little E. |

I hope he gets healed up in the off-season and comes back for his final season. I'm a big Kimmo fan. He has paid his dues. Very well respected guy throughout the League. |

WIN needs a center to move bogo |

I feel there are two ways to go with the Defense. If the right player for the right deal is available, then absolutely make the move. Whether that's a trade or a free agent pick up. But don't make the move just to make a move.
If Carle doesn't come back. Which I think is going to be the case. Another option is elevating Meszaros and Coburn. Both have shown in the past, to have offensive ability from the backend. And signing a short term solution. Just a solid defender who can play physical, and play well in his own end. And when Timonen comes off the books, there will be some coin to make a splash. - MJL
Alright, and what if Timonen comes off the books this year? Reports are coming out that he's been playing with knee ligament injuries and a hip that needs to be surgically repaired. It's certainly not 100% that he's going to be back.
Would you want Suter at his rumored price? |

I think he got a meaner edge when Nik got here. He was feeding of Grossmann. Hopefully Nik recovers well from surgery and is ready to rock and roll when fall comes. |

No doubt that Winnipeg needs some offensive help. But I don't see them making that deal.

I don't think Winnipeg is going to deal Bogo, but if he became available, I'd trade JVR for him in a minute. I'm a JVR fan too. |

Mez just needs to get healthy and fit for the fall. He was understandably tentative at the beginning last night but gained confidence (and even threw a few hits) after he got hit and realized he could take it. |

Meszaros played admirably for a player in his situation. But he was clearly still hindered and not 100%

Yep. He made some aggressive pinches and threw his body around. He did about as well as he could given the circumstances. |
