He needs to play. The physical tools are there, and the kid seems sharp mentally, but he has those lulls... - Jsaquella
Agreed. He had a pretty good rookie year, then the sophomore slump with the knowledge he's not the #1 and likely never would be in Philadelphia not helping things.
Goalies are very hard to predict the vast majority of times, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Bob develop into a top goalie. |

It's possible, but if Vancouver's moving Luongo and Boston is moving Thomas, Bob's going to be a cheap trade chip. LA might also be looking to move Bernier - Jsaquella
This is a good point.
However, on the other hand, you can't have too many promising young goalies. I'm sure they'll be someone out there that'll gladly take Bob if Homer makes him available. |

I'm sure they would...however, would they be willing to trade more than a 2nd? Doubtful |

If Jagr isn't resigned, Chris Kelly from Boston is someone I hope the Flyers take a run at to sign. His salary demands shouldn't be too bad, and he offers a gritty two-way game. He could be a fine addition to the checking line and fill in on scoring lines if needed. - ravishingone
We could definitely use some more grit. |

Agreed and it doesn't hurt to take talent away from a contender in the Eastern Conference. |

No doubt, that's an added bonus. |

David Jones from Colorado could fit the bill. He's set to be an UFA.
He can pot some too. Kind of like a Brouwer. |

But Homer would have the upper hand here, I think.
Depending on what the Thomases and the Luongos of the world go for, the price for Bob might go up by "default" for lack of a better term.
I'm thinkin that if you're a team like Columbus or Toronto that is in rebuild mode, you'd pay for the Bobs of the world, not the Luongos or Thomases.
But hey...this is all pure speculation.... |

This is the first time I've heard his name thrown around. Good call...
He'd be solid. Talbot light and a manageable cap hit....I like it |

With Bob's $1.75 cap hit, I just wonder if it is time to save some money on the back-up. Veterans like Clemmenson, Roloson, and Montoya will be out there who could probably be signed for between $1-$1.25 million. I agree the Flyers would be selling Bob low, but with other needs on the roster I think signing a cheaper back-up could be prudent. |

Rinaldo was unbelievable last night. His best in a Flyers sweater, in my opinion |

That's when Bryz is at his best- when he just gets rolling. He'd start- what- 65 or 70 games for the Yotes? |

I would really like a third line of Talbot-Coots-Kelly, some real grit with some scoring touch. I like Wellwood more on the 4th line to add energy. He did a fine job in the playoffs, but I still think he is best place is on the 4th line and continue to be on the PK.

Like to see Coots and Schenn develop more on their offense. I think both players can score 20-25 goals next year. |

In my opinion, Thomas' value is modest at best at 38, but that doesn't mean someone won't pay him a decent amount for a year or 2. |

The only downside to this I see is that he will want a long term deal, probably 5 years, and he is 31 already. |
