They still have a chance to advance but I will be honest the vibe is bad.

Anyone else not confident heading into Saturday night?
- MidnightMarauder

I am down but after 2 days to think about it, I will muster up the confidence. Remember game 7 in the 94 finals after losing 2 in a row and won in game 7. Just thinking about that I am already more confident

I kinda got the impression that the Rangers knew they had game 7 in their back pocket, and just didn't play as desperate as they should have.

That's always dangerous.

- FlyerGuy

It certainly is. In that case it may not be the better team that wins it, but a lucky bounce that decides it. Horrible effort tonight. Which I can't understand. The Caps have eliminated us from the playoffs twice in a row. Isn't that motivation enough?

Sick already, this performance doesn't bode well for Game 7. They were more or less lifeless throughout.

The first line was atrocious and their power play was even worse. I can't believe this is going to a seventh game.

They have to be the most frustrating 50-plus win team I have ever seen.

- MidnightMarauder

This team has been at its best with their backs against the walls. Frustrating that we have to play another game 7, but i can't see this game lack of effort carrying over

Kinda pissed with the lines. Idk wtf Torts is doing. We need offense yet after our first line its so random and stupid. Yes, Kreider made a mistake one game. But cmon, put him Cally and Stepan back together. Since separated all of them are nearly invisible. We need offense damn it.
- mrhattrick27

Yea I said that all night, the lines are brutal after the top one. Go with what worked the first 9 games of the postseason

Hags-Richards-Gabby
Cally-Stepan-Kreider
AA-Boyle-Feds
Prust-Mitchel-Rupp

I don't understand why Prust is seeing so much ice time. He really hasn't done much all series

This is true.....just after that effort, it is hard as a fan to feel confident. But I should give them a benefit of the doubt. Usually they always respond well when times seem tough.

Na, the one thing we have learned is momentum is nil and overrated. You honestly believe they will come up this small twice in a row? These guys have been mentally tough all season and I learned my lesson after Game 5 vs Ottawa going to stay positive

Fair enough but this effort was pathetic. Someone said earlier they looked like they had a seventh game at home in their pocket and I think that is dead on.

They played like this game didn't matter, not much in the way of second and third effort.

Well, the coffee table in my basement went airborne. Didn't feel like breaking another remote....

Needless to say, the table is in 3 pieces

Really (frank)ing aggravating

It is funny cause Brad Richards said the same thing last series against the Sens. That it will be tough for them to get completely up for a game 6 knowing they have a game 7 in their pocket. Maybe Brad should have taken his own advice and shared it with the team.

Hope the seventh game home advantage is the difference. This team has a hard time dealing with prosperity though and that is something to worry about in this game and if they win Saturday, in the conference finals.

Positive sign is that Hank wants it real bad. Guy is unreal. He knows the cup is there for the taking. Just gotta hope the rest of the team shows up for game 7.

Don't get me started on Richards. I know he had that goal in Game 5 but overall he has been relatively inept for 99% of the games.

Maybe with all of that money he has now he can go to a face-off school and practice all summer.

Faith is wasted on this team, you want the cup then you finish a team when it comes to it, this (frank)ing team can't do anything easy and it's gonna bite them right in the ass, the PP fails them again while Washington's come through, I'll be all there Saturday but it should not have come to this, fuk them for putting their fans in a horrible spot yet again.

Why does he play Feds and Prust play more than Kreider, they provide zero offensive ability and I thought this wasn't the time to teach a kid a lesson, sure seems like he's doing it, put him back with Cally and Step, we 2 lines rolling, tonight zero's all around.

Doesn't seem, it is backwards. Prust needs to play the PK and that is pretty much it. He doesn't look right out there.

I think this is the truest thing anyone will post on this thread tonight. This team is the most frustrating first seed I have ever seen.

It pisses me off cause Torts preaches, "play the players that are going." Well tonight Kreider didn't look that bad, he had legs. On the other hand Prust takes a dumb penalty and really did squat out there. Yet he keeps throwing him out there and staples Kreider to the bench. Really ticks me off.
