Let's face it boys, we shouldn't be surprised, this team is playing like the same team they've been all year. They hardly ever get blown out and of the six playoff losses we've lost by two goals just once. We rarely blow teams out and we've won two games each by two goals. That means of the 13 playoff games we've played 10 have been decided by one goal.
This team has Hank, generally play tight defensively and struggle to score goals. We've been that way all season. Every game has been a battle, each and every win a struggle. Why should the playoffs be any different?
The reason this team has been different than all of the Ranger teams of the last decade plus is that they battle back. They rarely string together poor performances. After a bad beat they tend to come back and play a much better game the next time out.
They also have a guy in Brad Richards who just keeps scoring clutch goals. He's done it so many times this year including in the playoffs.
I have faith this team will bounce back with a much better performance in game 7.
Like many of you I think Kreider needs to play more. When he was on the ice he was all over the puck. He has the size and quickness to be a real dangerous player on the forecheck. I would expect to see him more Saturday.
Barry Melrose is a moron.
I'm really beginning to develop a sincere dislike for Jason Chimera. Loved how he fell backwards like Prust had stabbed him in the neck or something on the Prust roughing. Prust gave him a little nudge. Not saying it wasn't a penalty because the ref had told both of them to knock it off but come on, enough of the play acting.
Despite playing like crap as a whole, we completely dominated in shots attempted which means we had the puck a lot more than the Caps. It's strange because we are usually the team on the flip side of that coin but now it's the Caps blocking a bunch of shots because we are attempting far more shots. Not sure if that bodes well or not for Saturday; I just find it interesting.
A little annoyed at the game still but on the bright side the loss motivated me to take out my frustrations on the pool table and I whacked 4 of the 5 opponents I had last night. Unfortunately my team couldn't back me up and we still lost 12 - 13. Not a nice night.
Back at it Saturday looking for a great performance and a big win. LGR!!!!

yep, they have bounced back after tough losses all year. I expect Saturday to be no different. very resilient group. btw, the only loss that was by 2 goals was on an empty netter with 20 seconds left in game 5 vs Ottawa. pretty much all one goal losses
"That was the picture I got of him... When he walked in I asked him who he thought would win the NYR game (was there with a few other fans).. he was wasted and being a sarcastic Richard, could tell he said capitals would win only after looking at my nyr shirt, i asked him what he thought of Henrik Lundqvist and he said sarcastically that hes not that great and hes decent. He was asked by another fan why he was hating on Henrik. Kane asked the Rangers fan if he would suck Henrik's **** and made the motion with his hand at which point i told him there was a reason we (the rangers) were still on TV and he wasn't, he kissed a bottle of beer as if to kiss the stanley cup and i told him to enjoy golfing and left."
holy poop, just reading about it now. allegedly choked a girl and made anti-semitic remarks in Madison? unbelievable this guy. what a douchebag. - RAG$4LIFE
He's like hockey's version of Ben Roethlisberger.
Kane is not an old guy, but at what point does it become creepy to get wasted at college bars and frat parties?
The only way I'm gonna get out of this rut today is if everyone gets angry, not with the Rangers but everyone else, just get angry, media outside NY, Debbie fans and the rest of those haters don't give us a shot, we'll let's give them all big shytburger to eat!

I understand he's 23 years old and what not but I mean c'mon grow up. Your playing a kids game for millions of dollars a year and you decide to choke college co-eds in your off time? Get a life..

Knowing how I was back in college, I would have knocked him on his skinny little @ss. Punk.

Now that stinker of a game is out of the my system, I prefer to look at the opportunity. The Rangers have an opportunity to advance to the semi-finals, with only the Devils, Yotes and Kings potentially standing in there way of winning the Stanley Cup. I'll take one game on home ice against the Caps to have that opportunity. But, I guess with opportunity comes greater stress, because the Cup is there for the taking this year. There are no juggernauts still playing, and if the Rangers can swing a Game 7 victory agains the Caps they have a very, very legit shot. I haven't felt that way in quite some time, which will also make it much worse should they lose on Saturday.
But for all the good things about the Rangers, my biggest criticism is that they don't have killer instinct. Whether its the inability to extend leads in Games, or taking advantage of opportunities to extend series leads, they have yet to demonstrate that in this year's playoffs. They need to develop KI, and they need to do it quick. If the situation should arise on Saturday where they get a lead, they need to build on it. They need to find away to knock the Caps the frank out. The Caps are too damn good to screw around with, and the Rangers need to bring it on Saturday, because their playoff lives literally do depend on it.
I am confident that they will get the job done, but if they don't, this would have been a great, great opportunity lost.

Call me crazy but if Kane is on the market, Slats should be all over that. The guy has great speed and can actually hit the net with a shot, something we lack. Can't hurt considering we can score for poop.
As far as attitude goes, I'm confident that Torts can keep him in line.

nope, his talent does not out weigh his atittude. He's trouble, and he has a track record to prove it. Besides the Hawks, like the blue jackets, would want the moon and then some in return for him.
The Jackets wanted stepan, mcd or mdz, kreider or miller and a 1st. Hawks would probably strat talking at that point.
