I'd rather have Carle and the extra $2mm to spend on other needs. Shelley and Carle aren't a package deal. Shelley can be sent to the AHL if cap room is needed.
So Carle for $5mm or Suter for $7mm....I'd take Carle every time at that rate.
If Suter signed here for $7mm, he'd be despised by January, because idiots would expect him to be Duncan Keith or Nick Lidstrom. - Jsaquella
That's a lot of money for Suter. He is a very good defenseman but $2 mil more than Carle might be a stretch. By the way I like Keith but I think he is highly overrated. |

He is overrated a bit, but I think a lot of his shortcomings come from playing so many minutes. If Chicago made him available, I'd love to grab him. |

I actually would like Seabrook. Like his style more. What's Keith's cap hit? Not that Chicago would move either. |

Seabrooke is an outstanding defenseman. He's exactly what I wish the Flyers could get. |

Only reason I mentioned Keith was because Buccigross has been saying that he expects some changes in Chicago, lot of interpersonal bickering and guys not on the same page. |

Probably late, but a great interview with Bryzgalov.
http://sports.yahoo.com/b...eople-only-210103643.html
I think he's going to have a really strong season next year. From what he's saying the distractions took a lot out of him mentally and hurt his focus. He seems to be much more in tune with things now and I think he will thrive. - Jsaquella
People are gonna say stuff about bryz, but after reading that, gotta say, Dude is smart. He hit the nail on the head with this town. Thing is it's a shame. For all the patting on the backs we do as fans, we are probably our own worst enemy.
Like how he pointed out the team doesn't get down on him for bad goals because he doesn't get down on them for missing empty nets, I'd think hitting an empty net should be easier than stopping a moving hockey puck, but that's just me. |

Homer needs to make a call, never hurts. Either player would instantly upgrade this team. |

Wow, eye opening for me.
I wish Bryz could hear more from the fans that really love this team and support this team and don't just follow the template of the local and national media.
Reading this article it just makes me dislike the media even more.
This article is even more motivation for me to not read/watch the local coverage of this team.

Sometimes I wish you could really say what needs to be said on here. But you can't. You just have to deal with it and bite your tongue. I learned that the hard way many times. All I'll say is that those that know, know.

Forgot to mention, as smart as bryzgalov is he and other players need to learn not to read the papers and listen to the local sports networks. |

That wasn't directed to you. Joe, it's rare that I read what you have to say and not agree, or see where your coming from. I think your spot on. About the only thing we've not seen eye to eye on is Briere.

You gotta admit though with my Briere thing, I don't try to make stupid remarks about the guy and riddicule him every chance I get. I suggested an amnesty buyout which we both know is highly unlikely and even then, I gotta say if it's not an immediate need, then wait and see. I'm not like the guys that come on and have to eviscerate Carle about how he's the worst defensman ever, that one ugh nvm I don't want to bite my tongue now besides bout to eat dinner |

Well it wouldn't be the first NMC to get waived and no Philly wouldn't be a place he'd be avoiding, he doesn't play goalie. |

I don't think anyone discounts that Briere has issues in his own end.

I understand where Bryz is coming from but at the same time he took it for granted thinking he would be able to handle the pressure in Philly especially as a goalie. I still think he is going to be fine. He knows what to expect heading into next season.

Keith Carle
Mezzy Grossman
Yea I kept Carle somehow. Wouldn't even know what it would cost to get Keith, I'd think JVR would be asked for by CHI for starters? |

reading bill say that Briere has worked on that really takes the sting out of it. I can always extend some faith and patience to a player that tries, not that I thought he didn't try or care, I;ve always said he cares and never doubted that. His cap probably isn't going to sting us anyway if the Flyers play their cards right I'm really on the fence with it. Anway gotta eat dinner and got things to do so I'll prolly catch you guys tommorow. |

I think him taking the pressure for granted is just a testament to his nature. he doesn't seem like a guy with a chip on his shoulder, although hes probably got one now. Seemed to me like he was dismissive of all the stuff, kinda like when you are friends with the kid at school that no one likes, then find out why no one likes him but decide to be friends with him anyway, oh wait that was the case for all my friends nvm. |
