Bryzgalov doesn't create the melodrama, the media creates it when they don;t accurately report what he said.
TSN.ca and SI.com both have articles that are headlined with Bryz ripping fans. He actually said "You should understand that I am not speaking out against the fans. Philadelphia has great fans. They are the majority. They are always with the team in difficult times."
So, who is creating that drama? The guy who said he's not ripping the fans, or the media that leaves that quote out of it's stories and says he's ripping the fans? - Jsaquella
It's all about context, or lack thereof at times, when it comes to the Philly media. |

A shot from the point is needed.
But having a healthy Mez and healthy Grossmann also would have made a difference. - Marc D
Also, toning down the over-aggressiveness of the forwards leaving the defensive zone so that the defensemen have a prayer of making an outlet pass would go a long way in making this group "look better". |

its bs double-speak from him. He blames the fans then says it's not them. He's a smart guy and knows exactly what he's doing. Re-read the comments from the phx teammates and man are they on. |

no way. He said what he did to create drama, I think he loves every second of it. Now he gets to play the martyr. Same as old #5. - ukeman
Hopefully Bob's the starter next year and Shelley dresses as the back up. Let bryz munch on popcorn for 8 years |

Yawn. Methinks this 'love of drama' is a projection. |

Their gaps were way too wide against the Debs. When the Flyers get anxious, they tend to look for those low percentage long passes through the neutral zone. |

I think some of these "fans" love the drama a little more than Bryzgalov. |

didn't say all that. Just because I criticize his actions doesn't mean I want him gone. I just think he's as much to blame as the "evil" fans and media. Why would his old teammates say what they did if there wasn't some truth to it? |

Yep, and the devils made short quick passes up the ice, dumped it, and out worked the flyers. |

Briere, Hartnell, Jvr, Giroux... I guess the the whole crew were guilty at times of leaving early.
The success of this style against Pitt in round one really worked against them. |

agreed. Basically all I'm saying. Think the interview was good but imo he is looking for excuses, and when in Philly its easy to find them. |

Why do the fans care what he says at all? Does he hurt your feelings? I just want him to stop pucks, I really don't care what he has I say about the media or the fans. |

I can accept and understand that. Hell there's times I get aggrivated by his musings.
At the same time, I see what he's saying, and I know the track record of the Philly media-and not just the current crop on the Flyers beat. I mean, this is a town that had Steve Carlton go on strike for 15 years because they shredded him as a person, not just as a pitcher. |
