It's about Carter being douche-y. Do you suppose when he asked for a woman's number that she expected he would give it to a friend to use? Mimi was a model. She's a stunning woman. She doesn't give her number to just anyone and doesn't expect to be handed off to some guy as though she's a Gatorade. Not a groupie, someone who had groupies. - bodiva88
Mimi is exactly my speed. Hot Russian chick, who likes hockey. Too bad ive been engaged for the last three years |

Like I said, Suter isn't on my radar either but I think the Flyers can afford to spend more with Timonen coming off the books. All I care about is having a number 1 Dman once Timonen exits the team.
When Eric Desjardins left the Flyers, we expected Joni Pitkanen to take over his role. Bad attitude or good attitude, it was premature for the Flyers to place such expectations and such responsibility on Pitkanen's shoulders. With this said, the Flyers waited a year before grabbing hold of another proven number 1 Dman after Desjardins departure. I'd rather not see this happen again.
I do like Carle, he's really grown on me but I would prefer even the smallest upgrade over both Carle and Timonen. As I've said all along, go for the big fish, go for Weber! - roenick97
That's the whole thing. Is Suter a #1 defenseman? He's certainly not if you compare him to Weber. I believe that Suter would be better for the Flyers because he is a better PP point man. But other then that, not a lot of difference between Suter and Carle. Then the question becomes is the difference in salary demands worth it? |

Curious why you find that funny? Carle is supposed to the subject of the blog tommorrow. So the information will be apropros. I agree with most of what you say. Accept for the eye popping part. And he should get more then Coburn. We'll see what he is willing to sign for if he stays. - MJL
I say that with a smile because I usually agree when you defend Carle. I just have this funny mental image of you as Mr Burns, rubbing his hands together, getting ready to release the hounds |

Again, doesn't matter to me, not on my radar. If we did add Suter we'd be adding a solid Dman to an already incredible Power Play. |

I hear you! I'm gonna do what I always do. I will offer the facts along with an informed opinion. Most of the Carle detractors pretty much retort with I just don't like him, or he doesn't shoot the puck well.

If you take a peek in the Nashville blog every now and then. Many posters in there believe that Suter is the straw that stirs the drink for that pairing. Positionally and passing ability wise he is just better. They believe there's no way they keep him. |

Weber but I do like the idea of Seabrooke as some have suggested. I would consider Seabrooke on par with Suter or better. |

If its between Suter and Seabrook. I'm picking Suter based on style the flyers need. |

That's not what I would be using as a source of information. Suter is not in Weber's class.

Neither player is likely to be a Flyer anytime soon. |

I agree. I view Weber with similar esteem to how I viewed Al MacInnis. Suter is a legit All-Star defenseman but Weber is a step even beyond that -- a Norris Trophy caliber franchise D.

I think if Suter does end up staying in Nashville, the Flyers might take their best shot at trying to pry away Weber a year before he can become a UFA.
With Timonen's contract expiring after next season (and facing surgery/surgeries this summer) and Pronger's career in severe jeaopardy, I could see them making a bold move to try to bring in a franchise D, whatever it takes.
Mind you, that's strictly my own conjecture, but we all know how the Flyers operate. They aim high. |

I suppose it's high time we don't question whether or not we've met someone, unless we've met them ourselves. - roenick97
I have met him myself. I found him colorless. I have seen him flirting with Mimi and was there when she confronted him about giving her number to someone else.
It isn't rare to run into douche-y guys. |

If he hits Free Agency, I believe the Flyers would be a player for him. They'd be foolish to not take a run at him.

I've got some scintillating capgeek numbers that would allow the Flyers to ice a lineup that includes Suter and Langkow....all under the 69 mil number Holmer was talking about
This will have to wait til tommorow |

The problem isn't going to be fitting them in under the 69M. The problem will be fitting them in under the Off Season Cap.
