I hope that people out there realize, that this team is not a player or two away from being a playoff team. They require at least 2 top 6 forwards. 3 bottom 6 and 2 new top 6 defencemen, plus a goalie. Burke has allot of work to do, to get this team in contention to make the playoffs. - PrinceLH
Damn, that's a lot, huh? It sucks to find out this way, but I appreciate you just giving me the straight goods.

Anyone remember the good old days when that could get your team a 4-5 million dollar player.

So the leafs were a 3rd round pick away from offer sheeting Weber instead of trading for Kessel? Damn man....

$994,434 to $1,506,716: A 3rd round draft pick.
$1,506,717 to $3,013,434: A 2nd round draft pick.
$3,013,435 to $4,520,150: A 1st and 3rd round draft pick.
$4,520,151 to $6,026,867: A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round draft pick.
$6,026,868 to $7,533,584: Two 1st’s, a 2nd and a 3rd round draft pick.
Over $7,533,584: Four 1st round draft picks.
The Leafs could have had Kessel for a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd instead of a two 1sts and a 2nd if they used the offer sheet.
It still would have been a bad deal but we would have Dougie Hamilton.

he's easily worth a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd, Burke's a dumbass for overpaying.

Double leg Amputee Kim Kardashian or Oprah+5000$? - Leafland
Oprah, fat chicks can suck a tennis ball through a tennis racket, and five grand is five grand. Plus saying you nailed Oprah really is more badass than saying you nailed Kim Kardashian.
