Congrats Preds.
And why wouldn't you take the better player? The one who can score the most goals, and the one who never bolted for Russia? - LoserSince61
Well, sentimentally, the one that bolted for Russia is our draft pick, and trust me, we haven't seen even a smidgen of what he's capable of yet. Give him a year on NHL ice rather than a few weeks and he'll be a very dangerous player.
Not only that, but I've never seen him look disinterested in the play like we've all seen out of Semin. Plenty of accounts out there have Semin being a polarizing figure in the locker room because of his work ethic. I haven't heard that about Radulov. |

I guess the preds wore out the yotes! Looks like a sweep for the kings. Gonna miss all of the Dave Tippett close up shots on the home bench!!! LA looks for real, they are doing the same thing the preds tried but are doing a better job of getting under the skin of the yotes and winning more draws at the dot.
A #1 Center has to be a top priority this offseason!!!!! If DP locks up RS & SW I would offer sheet Martin Hanzel or call Ray Shero about Jordan Staal. My only concern are those guys #1 C material. I think if Parise doesn't sign in NJ he will get some major money thrown at him. |

The Kings rolled the Nucks and Blues. No shock that they are going to roll the Yotes as well. Kings-Rangers Final?

I posted on another forum that I really believe that the only difference between our series with the Yotes and the Kings' series with the Yotes is that the Kings aren't missing all the wide-open opportunities Phoenix is leaving for them. We didn't run into a hot goaltender, we ran into ourselves and imploded. It doesn't really matter. I think the Kings would have just systematically dismantled the Preds like they're doing to everyone else.
In the end, our disappointment would have just come a couple weeks later.

That's encouraging news. I have no problem with any franchise that has support for it, and of course I would not root for any franchise to fail. By all accounts, Nashville has its act together as a city. I'd love to visit next season! |

I don't think I would use it on anyone, even legwand. He is a $4.5 mil cap hit for the next 2 seasons, but will actually only make $4 and $3.5 in the last 2 years and he will get about 18-20 goals and around 50pts a year. Plus he normally plays pretty well in the playoffs. We really don't have that albatross contract like some other teams do. I also hope they get rid of the burying contracts in the AHL business |

No one. The Preds don't normally make long-term, moronic contracts. Rinne's contract has the potential to bite the team in the butt, but I wouldn't buy that one out. He's already earning that money before it even kicks in.

I still cringe at the Erat contract until 2015. His numbers were good, I just don't see him as the playoff guy that we need him to be. Some will say Legwand (and on some nights I agree) but that won't happen. |
