I NEED TO VENT!!!

so i dyed my hair a little darker brown than my natural color and it came out almost jet black. so i freaked out and stripped the color out, then dyed my hair a brown closest to my natural hair color, and it still went back to being way too dark. so not only have i spent about 50 bucks on supplies already, i had to make an appointment at my salon and drop about 120 to get it fixed.... on monday. so another week with this hair out in public. i also just recently had to pay 200 to get a new phone because mine crapped out. so i dont know weather to laugh, cry or break something. all i know is this is probably the worst week ever. not a happy camper right now.

This is why I don't do anything to my hair myself. I have a friend that's licensed and does it for me at her house. Just got my highlights redone, trimmed/sculpted and she always styles it afterwards to make sure the cut is right and it cost me $40.00. I LOVE the way it came out. I've never been a huge fan of the way other people have done my highlights. She does an amazing job. I'm so lucky to have found her.

its weird though because i have been dying my hair myself for four years, always comes out great and never had a problem til now, and the color was the same color i used last time so im just like why does the universe hate me right now.

I had one bad experience a few years ago with trying to do something myself. It was enough to teach me never to do it again. The only downfall with having my friend do it is she has a 2 year old who won't sit still at the moment.

First break something while crying and laughing at the same time. It will scare the neighbors off. Second, is your hair light or dark naturally? The wife who has mediumm blondish tone naturally went dark brown/reddish for months then went back to a medium blonde yesterday. Looks great. Had she gone from dark all the way to light blonde that could have been a problem. I'm sure this doesn't help but hey, now you'll know for next time.

That is probably fairly accurate. My disaster ended up with my hair going to this funky green color. It was awful. Made me look like I was ill. Cost me about $120 as well to get fixed.
