The Kings are just relentless out there....a team machine on ice. Dustin Brown...whoaaa...what a playoff this guy is having. Takes it and dishes it out and keeps on going. 9 HITS TONIGHT!!

As an 8th seed they are 11-1 with 7 str road wins and are on the verge of eliminating the 1-2-3 seeds. Outstanding! Hawks would get anhilated vs this team.

Tippett: we hung around but could not sustain anything...no kdding that's what you have done the whole playoff. Again pitiful shot total in the 2nd and 3rd = 8. They stole games vs the Hawks and Preds with this style but as expected not going to get away with it vs the Kings.

Adios and good riddence!!

Tippet: “If I told you what I really thought it would cost me a lot of money,” Tippett said. “The game is turning a little dishonest [when it comes to] embellishment by the players. When it’s done well, it’s very hard for the referees. If you fall down by the boards, if you drop your stick or throw your head back you put the refs in a hard position … it makes the game dishonest.”

Really coach!?!?!

Sutter’s response when asked about the embellishments: “I didn’t see it,” Sutter said. “We didn’t complain last game.”

Coaches....they sure are predictable!

I'm betting Dollar Bill may have had a say i that as well. Every guy from that early 90s era who earned his raise got shown the door when it was time to collect.
- Return of the Roar

Amonte did get one of those rare raises. Remember the whole press conference / champagne toast to his 5-yr / $15M deal in 1997? This coming a year after JR was launched for that P.O.S. underachieving lazyass commie Zhamnov.

Suter to me is more of a hybrid stylistically. Does everything very well. Sort of like Lidstrom. Not super physical. Physical enough. Just really good 2-way/positionally. Got to see him play a couple of times in person this year. He is good at taking things away in the defensive zone.

THIS is exactly what the 'Hawks need.

Boy to have the "problem" Q would have with 3 really, really, really good D-men in DK, Seabs & Suter.

The problem with the RFA goalies this summer is that the really good ones are needed by their teams and the rest aren't worth the risk. The one RFA I'd like to see Stan trade for is Pavalec in Winnepeg. Both Pavalec and Crawford have off seasons. T could be one of those "change of scenery situations". Although I don't think Chevy will be willing to part with Pavs.

Especially since Chevy as a GM also had Pavs as his goalie with the Wolves for a couple years before becoming an asst GM with the 'Hawks.

Pavelec also was goalie for the 2008 Calder Cup Champion Wolves, so I'm not too sure Chevy would deal him. Wonder how good his relationship remains with the 'Hawks FO though. Good? Or really good?

Tippett must have missed Smith's Louganis in the third, when he went to the half-board to play the puck and made contact with the Kings' player - started flailing around as usual, didn't get the call.

Watching how PHX beat the 'Hawks and NSH this year, then getting dismantled by the Kings makes me think how they'd get steamrolled by the 2010 'Hawks.

LA is hitting PHX from all angles and with both barrels each and every shift and there is absolutely nothing PHX can do to change it. That's the mark of a champion.

Don't think either team on the right coast can beat LA right now.

Think we're gonna see the 5-most recent champions list read: DET, PGH, CHI, BOS, LA.

This sort of has a nice ring to it, for those of us who saw him play and coach here: Darryl Sutter - Stanley Cup Champion Head Coach
