Yea you got to love the play he made. Also you see how easily Parise's stick broke? One of the reasons why I hate the slashing penalties called in the league. Over half are due to pathetic sticks.
This is true and the Rangers have been a good 3rd period team. But how do you start this bad again, it is really mind boggling. - TPC
These horrible starts have to be on the coaching staff, as much as the players. Every game of this series, the first period has been a complete disgrace.
Where are the adjustments, they look very unprepared to begin games. As much as Tortorella deserves praise for having this team where they are, he deserves some blame for these opening period debacles.

I am refusing to fold the tent. I didn't watch 99 and 1/3 games this year to turn my back bc of a lousy period. Get the next goal and this gets interesting. The rangers should watch Milbury and Jones and get fired up
i'd rather have bickel out their right now. I would even bet john scott could have played a better period. DZ was the worst player for both teams. - tomburton99

Del Zotto would have been the worst player in an ECHL game, based on what he looked like in the first.
Just couldn't have made more mistakes than he did.

I hate when Torts says " we'll be ready " That means they won't

Yeah, unless you are a shEEp or follow the rest of the lemmings over the hill on every issue then they refuse to see anyone else's opinions as valid other than their own.

If they need to watch commentary from two over stuffed suits to get fired up, they are in trouble.
I think this game is far from over but they need to put shots on Brodeur.
