my worst nightmare is coming true. jeezus (frank)ing cripes. - hammarby31
It truly is amazing, there isn't even a team to root for against this team.
Just another prime example of a swift kick to the nads of Flyers fans.
I figured when Pronger's career ended, that would be the extent of the misery this year. |

I didn't have one problem with the Kings except Richards and Carter. That was it.
It's not that I didn't like them, I just had trouble "rooting" for them.
But this game...Doughty acting like a toddler that got his toy taken away TWICE, Brown with a chickenpoop knee on a DEAD PLAY, Smith playing without a glove because it was SLASHED THE (frank) OFF, Doughty getting away with a predatory hit from behind....let alone that officiating travesty that was far worse than anything I've ever seen. Even in Flyers games.
There are 3 Kings that won't be feeling my wrath: Gagne, Quick, and Hextall.
(frank) the rest. Go Rangers. Go Devils. Wholeheartedly. |

I can't root for the Devils. Just can't. I guess I won't watch. If I don't see it, it didn't happen. Yup that's it. |

yep ... and let's face it, the Kings were much more the aggressor. They fully deserved to win this game. |

My view is this...
Many (Including current members on this board) were all over Ray Emery for partying and not taking Hockey serious enough after and during his Stanley Cup run. Not many Flyers fans wanted him on this team until it was announced IN JUNE 09 that he would be signing here. Richards and Carter aren't the exception. They're gifted hockey players who aren't always serious about hockey. There is no excuse for it. They're players who get paid top dollar to be top centers for their team and they aren't. I like Carter and Richards but I have no doubt in my mind that they're both overrated. They should be number 1 centers but they're secondary scoring for the kings and they were in the last season they were with the Flyers.
With this said, the Kings are a good team. Go Kings. (frank) the Devils and the Rangers. |

I always get envious at this point. Then I wonder how far away the Flyers actually are from contending. I dunno if it's a talent gap or a timing issue as far as when a team hits their peak, or both. I just don't recall them playing with the tenacity shown by these 2 teams as well as the Eastern teams. So if its not a talent issue, then how do you get a team to mature into what we're seeing in LA? The process happens every playoff with the teams that make the finals, and it's what makes the NHL playoffs so remarkable. |

If it weren't for Brodeur or the the Devils logo on the jersey... I wouldn't have a problem rooting for that team.. they are playing some good hockey.

JR you dont turn on the ice with your leg out that far, give it to him milbury. that was a cheap knee to knee hit (missed knee but to me its the same thing cuz full attempt was there). should be a suspension, but it wont be. |
