Apparently they are not moving now due to a lawsuit. I heard from someone on Twitter that it was in the paper yesterday. Haven't looked into it though. - NickTheKid87

It's a play off the George Thorogood band. George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers... Latter chanced to just the Destroyers. And It's a great name, and I think you would get more Patronage from Delaware then Allentown IMO. |

The chances of an amnesty buy out are slim. Lilja won't be a call up. - MJL
If you didn't understand that I meant as the 7th-8th-9th D-men, and not strickly a call up from the phantoms.... I mean why does everything have to spelled out exactly? Why do you feel the need to nit pick stupid sheet like this? |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings -- Lilja, Paterson, Mr. Hockey - bmeltzer
Bill you think the Flyers would look to add a defenseman like Sheldon Souray? He is alittle old in the tooth and may not be that great defensively but he would provide an instant upgrade from the point with his shot (and PP). He had a decent season with the Stars this past year (some injuries) but overall he wasn't a liability. |

the cba does not have an amnesty but it does have a buyout provision so i don't know why it was brought up. Lilja served his role and when he signed, he was going to fill O'donnells shoes to some extent, along with being cheaper. |

I ordered that at a bar once but the bartender totally messed it up. Kept asking what kind of bourbon, what kind of scotch, how big of a glass, what kind of beer, do I want them all at once?
The only thing that salvaged it was her rack was practically hanging out |

an interest stat (to me at least ). going back to the 2006 thru the 2010 draft, the Flyers have selected 34 players. 15 of them went unsigned (2 are still in college so those rights are still held). 8 have been traded or waived. 6 were signed and still in the organization. 4 on the bid club (wellwood, Rinaldo, JVR and Giroux). didn't count last year because those players don't have to be signed until 6/1/13 but of course several are already signed. |

what do you make of it? Lack of success in drafting? Good success? |

doesn't look so good to me.....of course many of those picks were 4th round and later. we sort of deal draft picks often |

I don't put too much stock in later picks although someone can point out teams have found diamonds in the rough with some late picks. |

Yeah with the late picks it's harder to get NHL level talents. Also I think we'd have to see how other teams stack up with these numbers. |

Not sure what the consensus was yesterday, but hearing about all of JVR's injurys, Do most people still believe we should trade him for a top defender, or should we give him another chance to show what he has? Maybe see if there is an amnesty buy-out, and see who get bought out, and go in with the defense we have and maybe see what we can get at the TDL if we still need a d-man?
Carle-Meszaros
Timonen-Gusteffson
Grossmann-Coburn
Lilja-Bourdon-Manning as call ups.
It's not a bad defense as long as it can stay moderately healthy, then we can see what JVR can give us. Plus you never know what contracts might get bought out, Redden is awful for his cap hit, but maybe at 1 million he would be a decent pick up. - RooNosHockey
Not liking the 2 smallest defensmen on the same pairing.

Souray was tremendous early in the season. He had a foot injury -- later re-aggravated -- that affected him as the season went along. After a red hot start, his offense disappeared. I thought he was a bit of a liability (despite heavy ice time) late in the season playing on the bad foot.
He signed with the Stars last year on a bargain-basement deal to get a chance to return to the NHL. I think he'll remain in Dallas.

There's a big difference though between playing on the phantoms and being a call up and being carried on the roster as the 7th man, though. |

I was in a car accident right after that last line played on the radio. Wasn't driving and wasn't hurt, but the driver was acting like a jack ass singing along and promptly drove into the back of a stopped vehicle. |
